I'd totally agree with Peter in this situation - however, I saw a You Tube video about Islamic attitudes to gays and I must say that defending people who believe in the theocratic death penalty is a little too far. We have to fight for our rights in this time and not dilute the gay cause. Muslims can look after themselves. @NottinghamForest22 I am aware of the article, and again, so what? Following the potato famine in Ireland in th 1840s and 50s there was substantial irish immigration to England, The Irish, being Catholics, tended to have larger families than most in England. SCare stories at the time suggested that within a few years England would be over-run by Catholics. Did this happen? Of course not. Plurality is the only sensible way ahead. You continue to disgust me.

@yobolion Nope, I don't go along with that at all. In fact, I do not see how it is even remotely possible how a people can be bred from their land. To suggest otherwise is to accept the same paranoia that led to the persecution of the Jews (you can find lots of Nazi propaganda movies about Jews breeding like rats) and the persection of the Irish and Catholics. A pluralistic culture will develop. What a shame you have so little faith in the strength of liberal democracy to absord difference.

@NottinghamForest22 The BNP, in a rare act of supporting Thatcher, officially supported Section 28 and, in fact, wanted it 'strengthened'. They continue to oppose civil partnerships. And, quite recently, an entery on their website was entitled: "Liars, buggers and thieves", which grouped several gay politicians in with convicted murderers, rapists and paedophiles. Absolutely nothing against gay people? Yeah, right. You could, at least, try and be honest, and not mislead people about the BNP!
