I would love to hear her explanation of 9/11! She would probably say "9/11 was committed by the U.S. Government, the govt planted bombs in the WTC to do a controlled demolition", she's dumb enough to replace reality with some idiotic crap like that! Thank goodness she never got in to the White house! She would probably have declared war against the U.S. to retaliate for 9/11!
Years later, the stupidity of Palin (and the greater stupidity of people who support her) still amuses, doesn't it. It's like a stinky cheese that only grows more delightful with the passage of time.
Yeah reality check the Founding Fathers \lived practically in another world over 200 years ago. If they saw what was going on now (including a black man running the country) they'd drop back dead. Retards like her is what is really holding America back...by going back to what the "Founding Fathers wanted." So stupid...it's the 21st century for fuck's sake get with it dumbass.
@TreyParkersBitch I'm glad to hear someone saying this. People tend to overstate the importance of "the founding fathers". That day is done. It's a new world, people!
@drumrnva I suppose freedom is a thing of the past, too.
"It's a new world", huh? This is one of the most tired, worn-out cliches ever. The philosophies of the founders will never lose their importance. It is only man who grows lazy, selfish and gullible, and willing to surrender his freedom for a brave new world.
@AirCargoHeavy Slow down, son. Nobody's saying freedom is of the past. I'm saying the FF's weren't gods. Some of the enlightenment ideas are eternal, but society of the 18th-19th centuries had their share of inequality. Do you feel that you've lost some measure of freedom?
She needs to go back to the 6th grade and learn the real duties of the Vice President. So funny how she always invokes the Founders and the Constitution, yet she has no idea what is even IN the Constitution or what the VP has the power to do (hint, it's not running the Senate).
Gotta reiterate. Gibberish: "That thankfully our founders were wise enough to say we have this position, and its constitutional, Vice President will be able to be not only the position flexible, but its gonna be sort of those other duties as assigned by the Presidentits a simple thing. I dont think that was a gaffe at all, in, in stating uh, what the truth is, and that is, weve got flexibility in the position, the President will be directing in a lot of respects what the Vice President does."
You, as a woman, don't feel insulted by someone who would ban abortion even in cases of rape and incest? Who, as mayor of Wasilla, had victims of rape pay for their own rape test kits? ($600-$1000)
"Thankfully our founders were wise enough to say, we have this position and it's Consititutional, Vice President will be able to be not only the position flexible but it's gonna to be sorta those other duties as assigned by the President -- it's a simple thing!"
I'm embarrassed for her. What's more, I'm angry at her for trying to convince people she's ready to be a VP. Then again, it could be that she isn't intelligent enough to notice she truly isn't ready.

Of course she is ready. She was a mayor and now governor of a State. If someone can be trusted with little things, believe me, they can also be entrusted with big things.
Pure Gibberish: That thankfully our founders were wise enough to say we have this position, and its constitutional, Vice President will be able to be not only the position flexible, but its gonna be sort of those other duties as assigned by the Presidentits a simple thing. I as well - the thing to know about this is to believe that yes, Palin as the executive is to be the one to determine for whom whatever she can do. The American people. Socialism. Gabba goo.
"oversee the Senate"? That must be a different Constitution than the one I've read. There is NO WAY the Senators will like what she just said. She is, indeed, absolutely clueless.

What do you mean, windupdoll? The vice president is the president of the Senate and casts tie-breaking votes when needed, so Palin's kinda right. I don't see anything wrong with the word "oversee".
Other than casting the tie-breaking vote & presiding over impeachments of federal officials (but not the impeachment of the President)the role of the Vice President in the Senate has largely been ceremonial.
Compare a ceremonial role with the actual definition of oversee:
To direct work or workers; supervise; manage
To subject to scrutiny, examine, or inspect--
and so on.
Do you really think THAT is the role of the VP or that the Senate would stand being treated as if they worked for the VP?
Well, if that's the definition of oversee, yeah, but "oversee" is a pretty loose term and I think it could be interchangeable with "preside". That's all I'm saying. Don't confuse me with these people who think (or at least proclaim) that Palin knows what she's doing.
Think about the way Congress can wrangle over a single word. It will matter to them, I think. They are used to a VP who is almost never there, except on ceremonial occasions. Then along comes some newbie who says she will "oversee" them. Her lack of thinking before choosing her words is just one more indication of how NOT ready she is. Remember this was the day AFTER the debate. She has had hours to clean up the mess she said during the debate and this is the best she can do? "Oversee"?
She's so full of shit. She hasn't a clue about anything.
