A touching episode from the 1957 Soviet movie about WWII, "The Cranes Are Flying." A detachment of newly mobilized Russian men (reservists) in Moscow is embarking on its way to the front, which is getting perilously close to the Soviet (Russian) capital in the late summer of 1941. They are being seen off by relatives and friends. The stars are Tatiana Samoilova and Aleksei Batalov.
