Yeah, plays any song you have and no you dont need another program (other than Serato), and even if you did, its only for converting your songs to mp3s and you can use iTunes for that but I've noticed that you dont need to anyway. Most DJ programs (i use VDJ) can play songs you bought from iTunes (if its before the protection thing, you'll have to pay a few cents to remove it).

their 3 different things. ableton live is a midi application more suitable for producers. scratch live and traktor are vinyl emulation programs. serato is deffanetly better than traktor. and if you dont mind the SL1 being bigger than the SL3, your better off with that. the only pluss to the sl3 is that it has multiple inputs.
