FYI, the gold MS char was in is not a gundam, it never was. It's the successor of rick dias in Z gundam series and it's called Hyakushiki. Char was thought to be dead after his fight with Hamaan(the person piloting Quebeley(white MS using bits)) in Z gundam.
Actually, Char dies in a few years later in (the aptly named) Char's Counterattack. Actually not only does tomino kill him off, he also kills off amuro
Face it... By UC 0093, both of them are getting too old to fight any longer. :P Beats the point of the original Gundam story idea to have teens as pilots...
