I actually didn't even know that GameStop had a mascot until I read all these posts. It's been a long time since I've tried GameStop; I remember them being incredibly slow with sending stuff (which they eventually improved a little) and seriously low on stock, 'cause I rarely got what I really wanted.

But is there an alternative? Going to the video store here kinda sucks too (low on stock and the rental prices).

I understand them buying low. I'm not a girl that goes around bashing on them, but the one game I asked about though was unreasonably low. Star Fox Super Weekend Competition. They offered me $1.25 for it when I asked about it. I reminded them that it's an extremely rare Super NES game. They would not budge from $1.25. I had no actual intention of selling it; I was just asking out of curiosity. But even with buying low, that was just unreasonable.

Even GameStop could sell it for a few hundred easy. Search it on Ebay if you don't believe me. Even if it is just collectors that would want it, those collectors will pay big for it.

Not necessarily. Gamestop does have this pretty cool feature. They can search their stores and have a game shipped to them from another one. Ask them about it if you're looking for a specific game. I had that done with a GBA game I was looking for. Very handy if you're after something hard to find. Sometimes it's cheaper than getting something online. They'll contact you after their search is done and let you know if they found it.
