Hoagy Carmichael ("Stardust") composed "Riverboat Shuffle" for Bix Beiderbecke and the Wolverines in 1924. This was one of their first successes. "Riverboat Shuffle" was thus a jazz standard that Bix Beiderbecke and the Wolverines introduced. In 1930, Bix would play on the original recording of another Carmichael jazz and pop standard, "Georgia On My Mind".

I've never understood why so many writers call "Susie" an inferior tune...even so, the band sounds great on it and so it's a classic! BTW, this is the greatest fidelity I've ever heard on it and the other Gennets - did you do this Atticus? Take a bow, take two...

What does the "bb" after Min Leibrook's name mean? I've been able to decipher most of them, but this one has me stumped.
