I'm pretty new to Oceansize. Well actually I don't own any of their albums, just been watching some vids on the tube. But I have to say this is absolutely brilliant. A true masterpiece!
this song is like the best song on the album not to be a single. good bands always do that. seeing it live is pure gumption. who's going to their tenth anniversary gigs in october? i'll be at the frames gig. sweeeeeet canne wait
i turned out to go to oceansize. the sound was pretty weak so the melody strings were at some parts hard to hear clearly.. but nevertheless a great gig!
I like Oceansize better than the Foo Fighters, but then again, Foo Fighters don't come here as often as Oceansize (Belgium) so it would have been a hard choice for me too methinks.
Man, I don't really think you can compare Foo Fighters and Oceansize. Foo Fighters is a great band, don't get me wrong, but I feel that Oceansize is on a whole different level of music, above and beyond what Foo Fighters have ever done. The depth and richness you find in any of Oceansize's songs can't be seen in any of the pop-oriented music of Foo Fighters, at least that's my personal opinion.
Ofcourse, I'm not trying to compare the musical genre of them in any way, just the fact that it might be a dilemma if two concerts with them would be going on at the same time. Meh, I'd choose Oceansize over Foo Fighters any time, I now think.
I agree. Foo Fighters are good at what they do - writing catchy hooks etc - and have some really good songs. It's as Mike Vennart said, some people are really good at writing pop songs. Oceansize aren't that band; they write progressive technical pieces but are much more consistent with it and thus more interesting to listen to.
Anyway, I love this song. It's so full of emotion.
I really had to get used to 'Frames' before fully appreciating it. It's a great album that, in my opinion, combines the best of both previous records. But I keep skipping 'sleeping dogs...', because of the Meshuggah stuff. That was totally unnecessary. One less Voorhees and two extra albumtracks would have been okay.
But it's their greatest album nonetheless.
Saw 'em 3 times in holland. They can make a crowd go quiet in the subtle parts. like magic. And then... the cheering starts Fantastic!
oceansize are sooo overwhelming when you see+hear'm play live...saw them about 5 times and they never dissappoint....one of the best + most original bands ever!!!
My favourite band i think. Sadly 'Frames' doesn't work for me like the other two albums did. Musically their best, but, it requires a couple of shorter tracks in my opinion. People need to listen them, spread the word, they kick the ring.
Every time I listen to this it just puts me back. The song is deep to me!! I wish people could feel it like I do.

This song has become my anthem. This song is stunning in its complexity and richness.
I wish they would tour the States. No band has captured my...spirit like Oceansize since my college days listening to Yes.
