the king and Gwonam have been the good guys and Zelda has been a bad guy. Zelda wanted to kill the king and Gwonam.

Then Zelda turned good after being defeated by Link.

Then Gwonam made them believe he turned evil.

Then Then the king turned evil because of the triforce.

Then the now good Zelda killed the now evil king and the (always?) evil Gwonam.

It's like good and evil won at the same time.
