Wow guys. Nice work. I suddenly felt all warm and fuzzy inside when I heard that song again. If I'd been playing LotRO and have seen you playing that song I'd have given you all my possessions instantanously.
Um, I am somewhat confused. This is LOTR. Never played it...looks wicked. The song heard was "Stones" from the Ultima series. Does LOTR have some Ultima music? I am sure all of these questions would have been answered in that link up there, but it is dead. I think it would be a huge feat for LOTR to employ a model for composing one's own music and you got down to writing "Stones" for this game. If that is the case, I feel humbled after having watched this. Wow!
You guessed right. LOTR-Online has a music system that lets you write out parts for flute, drum, lute, theorbo, bagpipe, clarinet and harp. You can sync together with friends. You can take midis and transcribe them to play in-game.
Oh yeah it is. It's one of my favorite aspects of LOTRO. Even if you don't want to use music that plays from a file, you can free-hand it by hitting keys on your keyboard to make notes in real-time.
i'm thinking about buying this game because this feature caught my interest. the gameplay overall looks great and this is an add that ive been wanting in a game for so long....is the abc system easy to understand at first or is it a bit dificult? btw u made this sound great
It's easy to understand, especially if you're familiar with reading music. Friendly community to answer questions too, at forums or in 'musician's chats' on some servers. Tools to 'debug' parts are lacking though so it takes a long time to debug multipart songs.
I think I vaguely remember what you mean. There were many many versions of the song. Unfortunately, I don't remember the 'Original' version... glad you liked it however!
Word... so many memories.
