The propaganda everywhere was stating that Gaddafi siphoned off money and put it into Western coffers for himself hence they froze all Libyan assets in their accounts. The corrupt Libyan ministers who were fired and awaiting prosecution in Libya, siphoned off the money into UK/France and USA accounts (NATO countries)-they then had the money for the war. Gaddafi's hemit lifestyle (see testimony cook) and giving money to the AU aggrived Libyans who wanted the dosh. Alas everyone wanted the MONEY.

It kills me to see a bunch of idiots talking about the late Gaddafi as if he didn't do great things for his country. I'm under the assumption that he provided free housing, free health care, brought water to the dessert, improved education tremendously, fought for a united Africa (the richest continent on the planet), nationalized the oil which gave back money each year to all Libyans, first time wedding gift of $50,000 to all Libyans, and etc. Man tell me if America did this shit, NOT!

@dwc211283 Certainly there are truths behind conspiracy theories but narrowing your perspective to Rockafeller is only blinding yourself. Gadaffi was going to back his currency by gold and break free from the clutches of International Bankers. A similar thing happened in Iraq when they stopped trading oil in dollars and switched to euro's. This devalued the dollar and is the other primary reason for war. Look more into the 'Occupy' movement and the World Banking System, also Rothschild.
