According to the cast the third series will air in September 2010. The show was nominated for "Best Situation Comedy" at the British Academy Television Awards 2009.

The show's writers have also confirmed that they are penning a film version of the series.

Few weeks ago at the comedy awars simon bird (will) ,said the 3rd series was currently bieng written, so it wont be to ealry in 2010. Air time has been commisioned for the 3rd series so its definatly happening! Also , theres going to be a film that has been comisioned to film4 written by simon bird and joe thomas ( simon ), involving the lads on a holiday to magaluf

The writers of the inbetweenrs ( beesley and morris )read there script and said it it was ' anoying funnier' than theres !:)
