Remedy: artificial silver table-top tree decorated with free fishing tackle from Jim Beam bottles. I don't fish, so it's a way to use them. I also put other tacky ornaments on, purchased on vacation or from the Dollar General. On top, there is a pink flamingo instead of a star or angel.

im not an enviromental nutcase but i never felt particular enthusiasm 4 real trees being chopped down 2 decorate the house. if figure if i dont have a preference 4 artificial or real, i might as well go with the eco friendly choice.

where i live,christmas isn't that big a celebration but we have a fake tree we puit up every year just to brighten up the house. it's still up since last year lol.

We always get our tree the weekend after Thanksgiving. We ALWAYS get a real tree. If you water your tree daily it will last until New Years. We are huge Christmas fans!

Our little city doesn't provide trees until december!

so we always get real trees and we don't get it until two days before christmas and we keep it up until it dies, which is quite a long time b/c we water it daily and stuff, so march... yep. march is when our tree comes down.

in my house buying the tree is a ritual..normally 12-13 feet and my mum will always decorate it in themes..got to love xmas ppl :D

In Germany we pick out the tree or at least my family does on the second or third Advent (it's the 2nd or 3rd sunday in dec) and we leave it up until 6. january.
