I think to tell a friend you love them takes a certain kind of bravery. A kind most people don't have. It also involves a risk that in order to establish the truth you have to risk destroying a friendship ... usually a close one. I sympathize with Chloe on this one all the way, and I still hope (unrealistically of course) to see Clark with Chloe one day.

God, this scene is depressing...

it's so hard to tell someone how you truly feel, especially if you're sure he/she likes someone else. i can't chide her for being a coward for never telling him clearly that she likes him, because i'm not sure i would, if i was in her place. perhaps she would have tried telling him, if he hadn't mumbled lana's name at the end. who knows?
