Maybe 19...Qd8 is better than Qd7. It can swing across to h8 and make threats much more quickly

Great game man! The bishop pair beats the two rooks, this could almost be a model game.

Why is it that you say that black can't play 24...Qxc5? To be me it seems like white can hold on longer that way as he'll have Qc4-e2 maneuver to defend if lets say Bh4 now - obviously only if black plays Kg1 rather then the really poor move Kg2.

@Buri1750 There is also a 26.Kg1 instead of 26.Kg2 along with a Qxc5 with a Qc4 to defend..maybe white can hold?

@Buri1750 Looking at it some more it doesn't seem like it. This all leads to a R vs 2 Bishops ending with equal pawns which is definitely winning for black. But should provide more resistance I suppose lol

I think 19. ... Qd8 is stronger than Qd7. It protects the weak b6 pawn, and what's more important, the queen can go to h8 in "Alekhine's gun" battery.

Beginner here (so I bet there are holes in this line), but what about:

21 ...Nxd4

22 cxd4 e5

23 Bxe5 Bxe5

24 dxe5 Bxf3

25 Bxf3 Qh3

and I believe there is no defense to the threat of sac'ing the queen on h1 and mating with the two rooks.

The double rook sac followed by Qd5 looks really good! The pawn on f4 would stop and Re3's. I guess c4 would be a good move for him in that variation... not sure though
