  • My son inherited my Dad's 1996 Taurus. My Dad got it on deep discount when he was fixed income retired. He did get it for a damn good price. I used to see them everywhere, all driven by retired men! Fly green, beige interior, distinct ovary shaped rear window, and a subtle bereftness of style with a certain air of muffled in shirt sleeve elegance... What more can I say, that this videographer has not captured? Ranked one of the top ten butt ugly cars of all time!

  • why does every gen 3 taurus/sho i see on the road have a dent in the same exact place on the front left fender

  • Creative use of a smoke machine! Though, I am a proud owner of a Taurus. The car is not terrible at all.

  • Is this edina minnesota

  • hahaha

  • That's downsizing for you...Can't stick as many bound/gagged peeps in the trunk as you once could with those 70s LTD's...

  • Nice work "not less than you need just less than you are used to"

  • Unfunny.

  • @jonesmw01 Actually the transmission was a pos because the third time i took it in the mechanic did some research and found out that ford redesigned the transmission for the '96 model year and ended up only using it for the first half of the model year because it was so unreliable. Honestly how can you not properly drive an automatic transmission as long as you come to a complete stop before switching gears. I have a 05 taurus now and drive it the same and have no problems and love it!

  • omg love the film guys so true for the 96'

all you guys defending the taurus can be quiet if you are talking about the 96' because it is the biggest pos ive ever driven. ive had the brakes go out on me on the off ramp while i was going 80mph and luckily it was 2am so i flew through the light back on the highway. ive also had to get a transmission rebuild 3 times over 4 yrs. the day some girl totalled it and i got a 06' taurus was the best day of my life nothing but love for the 06'

  • The Taurus is one of the most reliable cars I have ever driven. It has broken down on me electrical wise, but not one time has the motor let me down. It has great stopping power, and is a true cruiser. It's also a very comfortable car for long trips. Heck I even like the way it looks on the outside.

  • @Pokemaster08 same here

  • HAHAHAHA omgsh!!!! I own this mofo!!!! Ii tricked the granny car out with two 10" subs...i gotta be honest though...this mofo rarly breaks down

  • haha sorry you guys hate yours. my grandpa just gave me his 96 gold for taurus gl with the five spoke alloys and it only has 55,000 miles not even lying. i love this car it has power everything and is a super quiet ride sure its kind of a gieser car but i love mine :)

  • Lol im gettin the same car for my 16 bday from my granddad

    not sure about the miles

but gold gl with 5 spoke alloys

  • Watch out! my family's ford taures's tranny failed at 70,000 miles. you might wanna check it before you drive...

  • thats just your family my brother abuses his taurus and it runs like new if you reply i can post a video of his its a 07

  • I love my Taurus! Never breaks down has over 300k and havent had anything but routine maintenance! Love live the Taurus!

  • well they made a stupid video since everybody knows if u get a car to get a ford Taurus since it the best in all categories if u wanted to shoot something stupid point the cam at yourself and u have plenty of stuped there

  • @ottlmr see my comments. The car is ugly as sin. Sure, my son drives it since it "don't cost nuthin" but we laugh and laugh and laugh. It is an example fo the kind of crapola Detroit could build when one over powered jackass has a stupid idea!

  • Well these boys are intelligent! Making fun of a car that pretty much raised the standards of the 1990s american car industry not to mention an american icon. I own a 1999 SHO, loooove the tauruses. Been drivin the Taurus scince 1987! Never had any problems.

  • amen to that to bad they had to try to make it look bad hahaha the fog machine? wow

  • Yeah, that was just pathetic trying some of that. Fog machine on the other side of the fender and putting the car in neutral just to "pretend" the engine quit. There has been lots of Taurus' with the vulcan engine past 300,000 miles.

  • Why don't you at least mock a genuinely terrible car like a Yugo or something?

  • @eccIefechan Because they actually are mocking a generally terrible car!!

  • @BluePancake1000

I said GENUINELY, not generally. And it's not a genuinely terrible car in any measurable way.

  • funny as hell man,i have that beautiful car! 1996! we paid $2200

  • I love this car!
