  • This lady was bad! Outstanding WJZZ was the best JAZZ station. Detroit bring it back we miss it so much.. I remember riding in my car in the D groving to WJZZ back in the days feeling I could drive all night listening 105.9. Keep groving Detroit

  • love this song mix of jazz and singin

  • Man The best a little jazz mixed with soul

  • My favorite from her. One of those incomparable talents.

Read that she suffered a stroke a while ago. Does anyone know her present condition?

  • Still have that WJZZ t-shirt to this day. Just talked to Rosetta Hines on the phone the other day (in Vegas). Ya lost another gem Detroit!

  • @local2458 you are absolutely correct,,,,,,,,,,,,

  • I posted Harvey's version at imeem. do a search at the website and it should be under Media Tracker results

  • I went to imeem and signed in but did not find Harvey's rendition.

    Peace.

  • The male artist that WJZZ featured is Detroit Jazz Singer Harvey Thompson. His rendition is powerful. I no longer live in the D but was there at the right time to hear the version you are asking about. Nothing like WJZZ (Rosetta Hines, Cliff Coleman and others).

    Peace.

  • His CD was hard to find but I found it at amazon. marcus belgrave is on trumpet. apparently Harvey moved to Japan in the 90's

  • WJZZ played a version of this song sung by a male singer with a deep voice. It had sax and trumpet. I haven't been about to find it. you know the artist?

  • Harvey Thompson.

  • thanks a lot, his CD was hard to find but I got it
