  • Ainda tens o disco?

  • phenomenal!!!!!!!

  • OMG its takin me years to find out what this song was..just heard 10 sec of it years ago..what a FAB song!!!

  • nice chroia.!!!!!!!

  • love beth, love alanis, love leona, love katie melua, love kt tunstall....great womans!

  • One of the most perfect pop songs ever. Period.

  • love the line - "and why should I know better by now, when I'm old enough not to"...

  • it would take a lot of work to get my voice to do what hers does, Because its hard to get the swap between the high voice and low one seamlessly. but no way can i write a song like this. Its strange. But cool because of it.

  • I love this song. :)

  • yea, and Ben harper on guitar. And that dude is NOT working with anyone.lol

  • i wonder how many times she copped one in gob,i mean with the mike

  • gone are the days when a chick could sing a real song like this!!

  • @averageman1234 hahaha, you should listen harder, chicks can still sing real songs.

  • Beth let's get married. hehe I wish.

  • :-)

  • What the hell happened to Ben Harper's awesome slide finish in this video? That sucks---they totally cut it out and put a second refrain in at the end. Lame. The slide finish ends the song so much better.

  • Goddamn Ben can play that slide. Wish Beth made more music with this kind of drive.

  • i wanna sing with beth orton holy shit her music is so good

  • Had they spent some real money on this video I think the song would have been on MTV when it came out because it's an amazing song.

  • I actually saw it on MTV back when the album came out and that's how I found out about Beth Orton! But yeah it definitely wasn't in regular rotation, which was a pity.

  • Just wish she would do a repeat Central Reservation Tour

  • what a voice

  • Nice song, lame video

  • Well said...

  • Like the song. The video, not so much.

  • agreed.

  • WoW station do you have? In Australia its 2JJJ and ive listened to beth orton and radiohead and wonderded where the fuck did thet come from

  • Such a great artist!

    great voice!!

    pretty hot too!!

  • 2:42............ Nice Refrain

  • this song is odd and thats why i cant stop listening to it.

  • I Think This is One Of Beth's Most Beautiful Songs. In My Top 1O Favs

  • true

  • who is the strange man with a beard?

    he's creepy...shave it man!!

    good song by the way

  • I think the guy w a beard seems cool 2 me

    GREAT song!

  • don't you think that sounds a bit prejudiced. his beard looks very neatly kept.

  • I love her!

  • MOST AWESOME SONG by a Most Awesome Artist LOVE IT

    Karen McLovin

  • best song is Daybreaker four tet remix from the album, the other side of daybreaker.

  • that version of daybreaker on yt anywhere ? i can't find it

  • would anyone say this is her best song???

    if not, what??

  • "Stars all seem to Weep" and "Anywhere"..cuz I live on Route 66

  • This is a great song, but I also have a thing for "So Much More". The bluesy vibe it has is chilling.

  • pop psychedellia like sun breaking through the clouds.

  • My girlfreind sings this song at the top of her lungs whenever it comes on the radio or through her cd mixer. Stand clear boys it gets loud She says she cant help it Sure I ear her sing it at lower volumes in the shower Shes a nut for BO

  • When it comes on the radio????? WoW what station do you have? I wish i could hear it! The only station that played this was 106.3 in new jersey and that was when this first came out... Now after 2 radio format changed 106 plays rap, dance and hip-hop..... Radio has become garbage.

  • When it first came out about 10 years ago, the local alt-rock station (WHFS) played it, and I got it on tape. It actually sounded like a slightly different, remixed version compared to the video here, with more guitar, and less violin.

  • ooo have to find it, could it have been an acoustic version she did for the station? Now that I had to reply the video started playing and I am not able to close this window lol....

  • No, it wasn't acoustic, there were electric guitars, and its difference from this version was subtle, but real: I know because I've listened to it many times from my audiotape. I think the station, or whoever remixed it, wanted to give it a more rock, less folk, feel. A similar thing was done to Loreena McKennitt's "The Mummer's Dance," though in the case of that song the rockish version was used in the official music video, not just on the radio stations.

  • Beth is SO talented, insanely BEAUTIFUL voice... and this is a most touching and BRILL song and vid... ThanXoXoX

  • Best femail singer in the buissness.

    top song.......

  • bohsblur is less likely to be retarded than you.

  • God bless beth orton for singing this song

  • Great song, videos a bit lame..

  • She is an amazing artist and also extremely beautiful.

  • Today, on my way home from watching a movie with a girl, I began having an erection because I thought I could kiss her goodnight. She dropped me off at home, and with my full blown erection, I walked in front of her car with the headlights on.

  • Awesome. Did you get it on tape for YouTube?

  • No but I should have, but the shadow was so big I might have had a problem seeing the whole thing. It would have been about the size of Godzilla

  • HAHAHA! That's the best youtube comment I have ever scene! THANK YOU BETH ORTON!

  • i love this song. i have been looking for it for ages since i listened to it on a tensions video.

  • Original video...;)

  • Great song... really reminds me of some of the better music of the 90s

  • First time i listen to her.

I loved it. Great Song, amazing voice and rithm.

  • Yeah, it's an amazing song. Ben Harper's Weissenborn backing her up.

  • I freakin love the sound of the weissenborn

  • Hmmm.. i wonder how many times she was accidentally hit in the face with the mic. -.- lol

  • I wish and hope she gets the recognition she deserves and has earned. She is so talented!

  • reminds me of how much i dislike most vids where every lyric is sang on camera...i mean, I can hear it, and i believe its you.........meh....smeeeewanana 1/5

  • que linda es

  • Beth Orton is cool and nice guitar by Ben Harper

  • Brilliant song/voice!

  • Nick Drake's daughter?

  • That would almost seem to make sense...wouldn't it? 8)

  • If only that were true...

  • Her song "She Cries Your Name" is even more full of strong Drake influence than this one.

    This is NOT an accusation.

Being affected by Nick Drake means you are a person of taste and character.

Orton is a real and superb talent.

  • Huh? Did you think I thought that was a bad thing? Nick Drake was a musical genius. Way ahead of his time. I can hear some of his influence in 'She Crues Your Name', especially the celli. I just think it's so sad that he died so young...

  • She reminds me of toni childs.. either way both extremely accomplished female vocalists

  • I've only just discovered her..where the hell have I been. So I gather she's worked with a few big names? I see Ben Harper and Finlay Quaye mentioned here, thats awesome.

  • same here ;)

  • shes so good in The state we're in by the chemcial brothers

  • I hope she does another track with Finley Quaye!

  • I remember when OLD WHTG 1063 in New Jersey played this song. That was over 9 years ago and I still remember this song without hearing it anywhere anymore. I wish I remembered more songs that original WHTG 1063 played :o(

  • Who is the cellist in this, if anyone knows? he's really good.. the instumentation in this song really makes it sound fresh and unique.

  • I'm pretty sure its Ben Harper playing lap steel slide guitar, Though the tone is certainly similar to a cello.

  • Ah that would make sense, being as the song is "featuring ben harper" and the guitar on the chord sequence is fairly easy. Didn't know slide guitar could sound that good.. thanks for clearing that up.

  • This woman's voice is amazingly brilliant!

  • Nobody is complaining matey, all I can read here are compliments about the song and video.

  • the video's fantastic, what's everyone complaining about?

  • sexiest look [fuck]2.10 beth ur the bomb/

  • She has a wicked voice

  • i'm so glad i saw her at rothbury

  • Love her

  • ..anyone out there have 'Don't Want To Know About Evil' from 'Superpinkymandy' or any of her hit compilations..? Stunning, evocative vocalist, thanks for this.

  • love that song too

  • She is such a talented artist with a style that is unique and seems to resonate somewhere deep within the listener.

  • i love her voice

  • great artist overlooked, sad!

I have a great video of Thinking about Tomorrow.

wish there was more of her available on here!

    ~blue~

  • A criminally underrated British singing talent yet virtually unknown. It's all Pop Idols these days and how sad is that? Beth Orton is Top Banana and make no mistake.

  • 5* I can have this on repeat forever and it still sounds just as good as the first time I heard it almost 10-years ago.

  • Classic!

  • Que voz...........

  • cute girl & cool music. what is her music style?

  • pop folk i agree with you

  • saw her at latitude.

    she was AMAZING.

the most down to earth person.

  • i got a video of her playing at latitude doing someone's daughter.

  • her debut, trailer park, is sublime

  • wow great song and cute singer, a little bit better than ivy

  • This may be my all time favorite song

  • Man, this girl is really CUTE.

What a beatuful voice... very strong too.

    Unique!

Guys, try Daybreaker and Paris Train.

  • This reminds me of my former fiance Don

  • i have to ask...why does she have rope lights rapped around her?

  • I saw her last night perform at Celebrate Brooklyn in Prospect Park. She was visibly nervous and admitted so, but still did a great show. This was her much requested encore.

  • awe shes soo cute

  • i fuckin love this chick and her music

  • So, when Beth sings, my heart aches, but the ache is beautiful and I'm happy that I'm so sad. What a paradox! What a woman.

  • Oh ... please send me to Britain to meet Beth Orton, or Helen Mirren, or Marianne Faithfull ...

    *****

  • all three?

  • Beth good

  • i can fully understand CitizenJain666... I ve been there too

  • Devourerofbabies, LOL. Like you, I was addicted to this entire album for all of 2001 and 2, then 3 and 4, and it 2008 and I still listen to it.

  • Genius! underrated

  • I'm in love :)

    what a fantastic women

  • danggggg i wish i could find a better sounding version of this youtube!!!!! great song!

  • a truely classic song and she is beautiful

also. cant wait to see he live again.

  • Like the song but LOVE the clip. There's some kind of subtle genius at work there. What gets me is that the people with the mics always look serious as a freakin' heart attack, and Beth's intensity is somehow highlighted as she interacts with them. And of course she's beautiful... mmmm!!!

  • i have been ridiculously addicted to this song for months, i MUST hear it over and over...don't i wish i knew better by now, lol

  • Could be worse. You could have been addicted to the entire album for all of 2001.

  • baby-eater, too cute...

  • Yep, I did that too. :-p

  • That song. That voice. Those eyes. So nice. =:-)

  • 2008....how old is she?

  • She is 38

  • She'll live on after death.

  • Her message and voive... unbelieveable!! Thanx Beth!

  • She sings with her very deep soul,

and she sounds british in a very good way.

I hear the colours of british and irish folk in her voice.

She is really a great singer !

    - posted by a fan from Germany

  • Beth Orton is one of the most underrated British female singers of all time. Great voice and great tunes.

  • pretentious or not its the integrity & honesty she breathes into every song thats her exceptional

  • wow trippy shit man

  • when i was younger i thought she was so beautiful.

when i saw this video it was like...it was love at first sight.

come to think of it she still is so perfect.

  • great voice! not pretentious.

  • I was deeply moved, watching this video.

    Than you!

  • It's high time somebody gave Beth Orton the microphone(s) for a change.

  • great voice, attractive, cool video, massively overlooked talent.....

  • Please can anybody, I mean A N Y B O D Y help me to find Beth Orton singing the signature tune of de BBC mini series Nature Boy. I'm told she sings 'Beatiful World'. It was meant to be released on the single/ep Anything but it never happened so I heard. Please help me find.

  • Sorry, I meant Anywhere

  • I think the song is really good, but I couldn't imagine a worse video.

  • great song

  • something about this video brings back so many pleasant memories, although I've never heard it before...how fascinating.

  • Great song, takes me back to the '90s...wish i'd seen her when she came out to Oz for festivals.

  • She's so beautiful, she's so talented, the clip is a blast and I think I'm in love with her. Why she doesn't get more success?. How unfair is this world ...

  • The clip is fantastic, you're all crazy

  • I came here looking for Paris Train and found this one instead. Except for the grainy quality I don't know why everyone is panning it. I like it and give it a 4 out of 5 stars. The song is good, too.

  • I agree! Video is the shitz but the song is A+

  • great song,shit video.

  • i can't understand why beth orton doesn't get more hits? are michael bolton & brittany spears so spellbinding that they over power talent and unique exprssion?

  • The "powers that be" believe Britney (well, Britney when she was 16-20) and those like her are more in demand. They'll soon realise again that music is what ppl want in the music industry. Let's hope it happens sooner rather than later.

  • Love the song, hate the clip

  • Met her in ATL, GA and she was wonderful. She was staying at our hotel and she and her band drank a few pints with us. We didn't know who she was but have become great fans since. Always the best to you Beth...

  • love this song

  • this was one of "my" songs but the clip has just dissapointed me. def. doesnt fit the feeling of the song, just my opinon

  • amazing song, incredible voice and she is soooo fit hehe

  • hmh, don't you think so intro is similar to Metallica's Unforgiven?

  • Beth Orton ROCKS! have been a fan since she sang for the Chemical Bros. one of the BEST female vocalists recording these days. Wish she was selling better than those talentless slags on MTV, etc.

  • great gutiar solo by ben harper it melts me away to bliss right at the end of the full version

  • Seriously, is that Ben Harper?

  • yeah mate sure is.wicked bit of guitar

  • So awesome. Gonna buy this whole CD from iTunes.
