  • WHAT SHOT IN THE AIR AT 5:20

  • Nicely done! A great video to learn how to do it right. People just don't seem to appreciate how much work it took those guys to get the line dropped and to the fire. Plus the beating they took when they got there. Remember that rushing causes mistakes and that gets people hurt or killed. As a 20 year veteran I commend the companies and thank whoever recorded this.

  • they work so slow

  • @petroFDR why ????

  • All this one New Years Day, not a good way to have started this year :-(

  • I love how people try and tell firefighters how do their job . Dont they know that they train all the time for these situations and that it takes time to set up and get the hoses up the stairs which i am sure are filled with smoke and you cant see 2 feet in front if you

  • you have an awesome job. drive the chief and then communicate with brooklyn. no one does it better than chiefs aides. job well done brother. its a pleasure listening to you guys.

  • do u work for fdny

  • "wheres te water? The fire been burning for 10mins". Lady if you want to mask up hook a hydrant drag hose packs up four stories an get a stable water pressure faster then them, then get real.

  • @dBxPrOdiGY lol thats how its done.

  • Doubtful will hold - The chief is doubtful the fire can be controlled with units already assigned, more may be needed.

Probably will hold - The chief probably can control the fire with units assigned.

Will hold - Self explanatory but rarely if ever used.

    Under control - Self explanatory.

  • Good work staying calm through that, even when that nice lady was grilling you about the water. What do you mean when you say "still doubtful"?

  • @Species1571 Still doubtful means that they may not be able to hold the fire with the units assigned, and may need more assistance ... This is how it's done in FDNY ... AWESOME knockdown in a little more than 6 minutes ... Great Job guys ...

  • @FdNy8231 If we don't think we can control it with the companies assigned, we'll go ahead and call for more companies and set up staging. Even a medic unit can call for extra companies or a second alarm. Althougth initially it may be dispatched as a Standby 2nd. It becomes a working 2nd when companies from the 2nd actually become engaged in fire ops. Always interesting to hear how others do it. We can also have a Standby 3rd or 4th, but usually by then the I/C knows what they need.

  • truck 113 was my uncles

  • Thank you very much for posting. Great way to learn how it's done.

Keep up the good work brothers.

  • Nice job FDNY brothers - CFD brother (Chicago)

  • Excellent job on this video!I could not have done better myself!

  • Thanks so much for posting. Great stuff.

  • Excellent job Battalion Aide. Obviously very experienced. 41 Battalion is the busiest area in all of NYC, I'm not surprised by the thorough reports. He does this a lot...

  • Want faster water? Ask your mayor where the 5th man is

  • That is one awesome Battalion aide.

  • Did I hear some dumb bitch yell "JUMP" at :45??

  • great video

  • at 2:58, the FDNY Brooklyn Water Supply Officer requests an update. We thank her deeply for her invaluable assistance.

  • Practically yelling, "You been here ten minutes, wheres the water??" "it takes awhile to get it up there.." Cool, clam, collective..

  • @ffdunc1789 he should've told that nitwit to look under W!!!! Very good job with the sizeup too. - CFD FF Batt 23 (Chicago)

  • hey bro are you a firefighter
