Hi! Have you considered intellectus 424 diet (do a search on google)? Ive heard some unbelivable things about it and my sister lost a lot of weight with it.
I agree with you on that the greatest picker of all time. He did consider one other country musician to be an equal and that was Jerry Reed, a phonemonal picker but even he said he paled next to Chet,
Chet may have stood on the shoulders of giants, but he took their art to the penultimate. I have listened to this tune by everyone I can find, including that master himself, Hank Garland, who I believe wrote it. I have listened over and over.
Chet's is the only absolutely perfect version.
My brother and I are planning to fly to his gravesite this summer to pay homage to the one and only "Mister Guitar."
I agree that Junior Brown's version is brilliant as well. He takes it in another direction, but he can get away with it because he is also the real deal. I love Chet though and don't forget about Jerry Reed. They are all in a class of thier own.
Assuming one of the "Sugarfoot Rag"s Chet recorded in the sixties, he was playing a heavily modified Gretsch. He didn't switch his endorsement until 1979.
Well - Doc Watson and Hank Garland (composer) kinda both nailed it...but Doc's flat picking version with Duane Eddy on 'lectric is my personal favourite when they incorporated it into Thunder Road. (Docabilly) "course the fact is that Sugarfoot Rag is the key to opening the door in the Hall of Guitar Greats.
As always, Chet shines in the forefront here, but full kudos to the great Anita Kerr for her arrangement and the backing of the " Anita Kerr Singers "

Thanks for the heads-up. You are absolutely correct. I used a reference to order rather than ability. My bad.

Actually, that is Jesse Colter, Waylon Waylon Jennings's wife. Chet discovered and produced Waylon.

@daffydoug I think you'll find that Waylon Jennings was discovered by "Buddy Holly"!

@daffydoug Hmm... didn't Buddy Holly first discover, and then produced some of his first songs from what I've read
