Little Story

Walking home from school when I see a post-it stuck to a wall, it was unusual as I had never seen this before or even earlier in the day, so I look around and nobody looks as though they would have 'done this so I read it. "Extraordinary Machine - Fiona Appllee" I got home and searched for what this was, I thought maybe it is a designer or some kind of artist who is advertising their art, but instead found this cute little song. If you know who this was please tell me.

"be kind to me or treat me mean"... you have to know yourself and be confident in who you are, be ready for anything, good and bad... and take it and make the most of it. we're all extraordinary machines. sometimes our batteries are weak though and we need a good charging. lol

I know that the bootleg and official composition of 'Extraordinary Machine' are the same, but the vocals are different and I can't figure out which is which. Is this the official or bootleg?

@princessdaleeee The instrumentals are different too. She made two versions - one with an orchestra, and then, she was made to remake a more "accesible" version for the album release. The label thought it would be better. I don't care when she's doing the vocals or who is accompanying her on instruments, Fiona Apple is amazing.

Very true. :/ The vocal performance and instrumental performance on this version is noticeably inferior.

This song was not re-recorded, the vocal and instrumentals are exactly the same. The final CD has a little more compression in the mastering, but it takes good ears and much better than an MP3 quality sample to notice any difference in a quiet piece like this.
