  • I am a massive Stones and one who has only been playing the guitar for a short while and I really enjoyed the lesson. I can now play something on my acoustic that sounds reasonably like the song. Loved it.

  • You decided to teach the puss assed version!...Your gay!...You look like Robin Williams in 'The Bird Cage!'

  • horrible, you've successfully castrated this song!

  • you have nice flat hair do u iron it

  • i don't know what your doing down with those f notes.. it s all done up on the b bar.. hammer a major b then to a b minor.. thats the way it is on the record.. still don't know what your doing on that f open thing. anyway.

  • actually show how to do the famous riff

  • its actually open d with capo 2 fret arty but who gives a sh-- sounds good and nice to learn different ways

  • Cram it Arty. It's still the same fucking song.

  • Sounds OK, but it's wrong. Should be in open E tuning for the studio version.

  • @artygibson This quick look at Jumpin' Jack Flash is part of a series we have on Intros, Riffs & Licks. It was meant to give a slightly simplified, but very playable version of the riff without going into an open tuning.

  • @TGAcousticLessons As you pointed out, the way they played it in the studio was quite different from the live versions, for the same reasons we chose to create this 'modified' version.

  • @artygibson

You don't have to play in exactly the same key. It will always sound good no matter what key. Who wants to fuck about using open tunings if you are only going to play one or two songs and then tune back to standard for other songs. You keep tuning up and down and you will get through a lot of strings. Another thing, who says you have to copy a song exactly? Do your own thing and just have fun with it!

  • @artygibson Yawn...... bore off

  • Good video! Get to the point, "It's a great riff" and then you show it. And it is truly one of the iconic riffs in all of rock. Cool.....

  • good job Mister Hogan.

  • Good job Neil!

  • great !!!!!!!!

  • what chord is it at 0:25 ? please... Im dying to learn this riff but i cant figure out how he does it. Very good lesson btw, sounds like the original jumpin jack flash track
