this is really amazing, did you handhold the camera, if so how did you do it, my handheld night shots usually come out blurred unless put the camera on something like a wall or a railing or use the flash
Love the video! I'd just like to know how you managed to keep the camera so steady, for the most part the images are smooth, did you use a tripod or just have the strap around your neck? I'm hoping to do something like this for a college project so would be a great help! thanks :)
@camelface1 Ha, thanks! Yep. I got quite a few strange looks there. Though I was stared at more across South Bank as more people were standing around. On Waterloo bridge they rushed passed me.
@knight1987 ;-) Pretty straightforward - I walked incredibly slowly, taking a photo with each step [about 2-4ft between them]. I converted the photo sequence into a video file using Quicktime Pro [you open the first photo in the memory card folder & it does the rest], then I added a fade in/out and the music track using Open Shot video editor. But there are better video editors that do the same thing. No fancy expensive software or camera equipment required. Hope that helps!
Wonderful!!!. Many of my favourite pubs along this route. The Duke of Wellington, the Anchor (if you'd carried on past the Globe) or the Cheshire Cheese back along from St Paul's. Usually stay at the Union Jack Club near Waterloo Station and have walked this area many, many time...thanks.
It would be very pleasant to see your name, you great artist ! It's much better to see the name of artits on his masterpiece ! And with the credit song !
What a fantastic video, great music choice, it all works so well together, it feels like everyone's rushing around, but at the same time it's so beautiful colourful, and futuristic. Great work
i love this, WOW. im going to singapore soon, i will try to do this. thanks for the inspiration. also what do you think of the 20mm lens? is it good? because i'm thingking about getting one. thanks in advance
@sudion Thanks! If you've got a Pen camera [or any 4/3 camera] then you should definitely get the 20mm pancake lens! The f/1.7 aperture has enabled me to do lots of stuff I couldn't do before in low light. Definitely worth getting.
Wow, beautifully done. I'm not sure I'd have the patience for that, but the result is worth it. What kind of camera settings did you use... if you remember?
@atlw3000 Thanks! I had the camera on auto mode for the whole thing, but I changed the camera's colour setting to 'cool' to minimize the yellowness of the street lights.
@nerko1983 Hi, thanks! All the shots were taken hand-held, except for the short stationary bit across the Millennium bridge near the end - I used a tripod for that bit.
amazing dude! this was my everyday route on my way home to brixton. well, at least the part from strand over the waterloo bridge and sometimes through the south-bank. very well done!
Great colours in this. I like London for the amount of Lighting it has. Great Effort

@spanky7829 Hi, to be honest I have no idea how many shots I took in total! The track is 'Angelica' by Lamb.
Anatoleya 7 months ago
@spanky7829
Length: 5:23 mins = 323 secs. If the frame rate is 25 fps, there are 323 x 25 = 8,075 photos in this video ;)
