Keep learning. Keep growing. Keep healing! The more we heal ourselves, the less our children will have to heal themselves.

As you point out, the greatest joy of being a parent is, you get to be the kind of parent you wish your parents had been. All the things that were missing from our childhood experiences can be a part of the love and caring we give to our children. We might not have had everything we needed or wanted from our parents but, now, it's our turn to get it right.
