  • M fart?

  • This is the longest video intro I've seen...

  • Easy way: download Playawake from Cydia. Just install it and you will be able to select a wake up song from the standard clock app. Add the xsellize repo (google it) and then search for playawake!

  • Whatch my video it is great to follow to do it in any country and easy to follow instructions

  • Wow...you don't even have to do this...all u have to do is go to the app store and download alarm tunes lite...and it's free

  • Hey I've tested it on the 3.0 firmware and works great

  • I dont think this works on 3.0 firmware

  • I have never tested so you can try and let me know I'm still on 2.2.1

  • Well, I found that if you go to the very beginning in your ipod in winscp, then go into applications, then alarm, then sounds I believe, you can put .aif songs in as the actual alarm clock by renaming them. It works really well

  • Hello again.

man, I dont want to bother, but please can you upload a video about how to ssh into the ipod touch 2G, the other videos about ssh on youtube are really incomprehensible....not as clear as your tutorials...and I really want to get my ipod to work with custom alarm sounds..- you would help us all....

  • Sorry about that man I was away but yea I will try to make an ssh video for u guys.

  • this works for 1G? how does it play the music though? external speakers?

  • Headphones or external speakers.

  • This what I've long been waiting for!!! I dONT KNOW WHO DECIDED THAT THE IPOD TOUCH shouldnt play costume alarma, messed all up, I mean why having the alarm function if alll you've got to listen is those clumsy sounds.....that dont WAKE ME UP....well, anyway could you please make a tutorial showing how to ssh into and ipos other tutorial are just unclear and messy,,,,you would help us all----thnaks, regards readywarrior89

  • Yea for sure man deffinitely in the next two days I'll have one up for you.

    thx for the comment.

  • thnks a lot, man, you will help us all,,,,really other "how ssh into ipods" tutorials, arent helping at all.... I ll be alert to see it as soon as you upload it....thanks again...

  • yea for sure man deffinitely in the next 2 days.

    Thx for the comment.

  • thanks man this worked really good. 5 stars

  • Thank You very much bro.

better than any other tutorial i'v seen.

  • why cant they just realese an app with a custom alarm!

  • Yea I know what you mean. I asked myself that question and came up with 2 reasonable answers , I think they may have been in a rush to release both ipod touches or another reason may be that they don't want people to personalize their ipod which I think is completely stupid which is why I jailbroke my ipod so I could put on new themes and make it original.

  • thank you very much - this helped me since I was looking for a way to add some custome alarm sounds

  • yea no problem man.

  • hey , AWSOME MAN it worked , i have seen other vids but they go through a lot of stuff to get this , but this way is wayu cooler , im subbing,

  • thanks man

  • This (specific) method only works with 2nd gen ipods

There is a way to make this work for 1st gen but you need to edit some file in the springboard.app folder

  • its just not there^^

  • Which firmware are you using... 3.0?

  • I´m on 2.2.1

but I actually figured out how to do this with some other vids on utubeI had to replace a file in the alarm folder, then converte my song to .aif and edit some properties of the replaced file

  • edit: file is called Alarms.plist

  • that cat bedding kicks ass

  • Haha lmao thanks, had it for 7 years ever since I was 8 years old.

  • haHAH thats funny as shit, this video helped me a lot though dude thanks

  • Yea haha lol no problem :P

  • Thanx!!!!

  • No problem glad I helped.

  • sweet it works thanks!

  • No problem man!

  • Are you sure it works for the 1st Gen iPod Touch? I just tried but there is only a Ringtones folder. Not "Ringtones.75rxsp". Also, there is nothing in the Ringtones folder on the iPod. Any insight? Or will it just not work.... Dx

  • Try putting it into the ringtones folder hopefully it should work.

  • i got confused in the last part after renaming to m4r cz im a mac user so what folder i am supposed to go to???

  • So go to the very root of the ipod touch then go to private/var/stash/ringtones.75rxsp hope that helps

  • sweet, it works and its not hard to do

  • Yea and I just found this trick out yesterday when I was screwing around with the root of my ipod lol and then I found all of the alarms in m4r format so I decided to try it and everything worked out the way it should've. Thx for the comment.

  • it dosent work on my 1st gen itouch

    what should i do

  • Nice Job!

  • Thx Stray.

  • Guys this video is really supposed to be in HD but youtube is still processing that but it should definitely have an HD option in the next couple of hours so just hold tight as I have just uploaded this video.
