@jhamthehamster It may appear as if everything got sucked in but actually, it's just opacity. Basically keyframe the opacity from 100 (visible) to 0 (hidden) and everything fades into black (if your background is black that is)

Or just precompose all the layers and change the opacity of the composition from 100 to 0

import the background MOV movie file and use that, it should work. Then create the stars using CC Particle World, then move all your fx in front of the BG video

It should come preinstalled when you install CS4, in CS3, the plugins should be included in your AE CS3 disc.

Try doing a YouTube Search: Get CyCore Effects for After Effects and you'll get plenty of videos showing you where to download them

Hello, the version of After Effects I'm using in this video is Adobe After Effects CS4. It will run perfectly fine with Windows Vista, as well as XP and Windows 7. It just looks different because I have a skin applied to it.

it has worked for everyone else and it has been tested on my friend's mac. the video is .MOV quicktime movie (obviously made by apple) so it should. can you explain what's not working in more detail?

totally annoyed, sat and did this tut all day its totally different the wipe is different to what you do in the tut to the video and the way the space fades at the end you dont do this, every half cut, you are awesome at explaining things but dont do different to what you say your are going to do and you actaully do :( Gutted !

I'm sorry, but I did teach you the main concept, it's up to you to do modifications on what you've learned. For an example, the wipe can be easily fixed by typing a different value in. This tutorial was mainly teaching you some basic ways to animate text, but next time, i'll keep in mind to make it exact even though it's recommended to play and mess with your own settings
