I know he's not the tallest. This was a response to a video of a woman in North Dakota who thought her Newfoundland was the tallest, just to prove that although mine was taller than hers he is by no means the tallest. He is a big boy though - urrently 205 lbs. Cute isn't he?
@MRay061 No Danes is 44... Titan was 42.25 or so at withers and a LEGIT giant dane. George however is a proven fraud his first measurement at withers was 39 inches but later changed to 43 (there's pics to prove he was 39)
I know a 41" Great dane its crazy how tall both these breeds are. I ve seen a few danes 37" and taller though that is not average. I have met a few wolfhounds and i think most were about 36" i have only met males though. I am suprized that the last three tallest dogs have been danes. I am sure there is at least one wolfhound out there that could claim the title. This one really has no chance because Guinness normally will not measure a dog that is under 40" at the shoulder.
@42lacey - thanks for the comment. I realized at the time when this appeared on the news that my dog was by no means the tallest in the world. It was made in response to a woman in North Dakota who thought her dane was the tallest/biggest in the world and my point was to show one that was taller/bigger but was by no means the tallest in the world. But he is abour 215 lbs now so is definitely pretty big and darling too!
@msscalvin Oh im sorry i miss judged this as a guiness challenge. Isaac is a beauty has he grown any since this? how old was he now? I just love the big dogs. I had a saint Bernard currently I have a 230lb mastiff and a 10 month old great dane puppy. Don't worry my dane is only 33.5" LOL he won't be even close to issac size.
@msscalvin You know I find it so weird that the great dane club of america says a full grown male on average is 34" I swear i have never seen a male that short. My boy will probably be the only average male i know LOL. I just wish people would stop saying that they know one way bigger and just enjoy his company he is still a big dog regardless. at 10 months people do tell me he still will grow hmm i will believe it when i see it. LOL
@42lacey This dog like so many others is taller than George at his shoulders. Remember George was measured to 43 inches high up at his neck, but judging from scenes where he walking past a standard 3ft kitchen counter his entire back and shoulders is actually shorter than the counter top, and he is taller only with his head and neck
As a wolfhound owner myself it's nice to see one compete for the Guiness title. Most of the tallest dogs are going to be found from the ranks of the Irish Wolfhound and Great Dane population. My own male Shay is 36 3/4" tall at 180 pounds. Good Luck Bruce.

Great Dane... Somewhere around 44 1/4 inches at the shoulders.
