I read this book and the only rule I follow is the 3 second rule: When you see a potential pick up don't waste any time and say something.
The biggest thing I learned is that women are human and not to be feared- there's really no need to get complicated and create a scene to get their attention.
Like I said, when I see a girl I like I make sure not much time goes by before I ask, "How's your day going?" and it never fails.

I think you hit the nail on the coffin. We kinda have all the skills we need to carry on a conversation. While the book has a pretty nice template (proven to work obviously), it's all up on your to carry out the mission and just go out there and do it.

thats not even a good rule to follow, it makes it pretty obvious what you intentions are if you walked through the whole club or bar to get to her. Something that is not effective for every girl that you want to speak to. You are right about the opener though.
I think I'm gonna put the audio of this blooper on my iPod so when I get carried away and take gaming too seriously I can listen to this and have a bit of fun.
