omg u have a sugar glider!i have one too, and im wondering if you have any tips for bonding? i got mine 3 days ago and ive been trying to hold, pet, and play with him everyday.but what else could i do?

@gbearfresh keep him on you almost every day.. during the day is the best since they are sleeping they are not active and running around jumping etc. people say use a bonding pouch.. just use your hoodie's hood, pockets as long as they are lose pockets etc. give yogurt treats to him also when he is being nice

@MrPur3d i wont lie to you. you can. but 3 reasons why not too. 1 - their OVER PRICED. by atleast 150$ 2- they are usually not well taken care off and poor diets. and have a short lifespan. 3- they are not hand raised. and most likely not able to be held and they are mean and crabby due to lack of human interaction. ALWAYS buy from a reputable dealer

@MrPur3d From day one when i picked ekko up from the pet store ( it was shipped there from a private breeder) I immediately started the bonding process by letting him crawl into my jacket pocket. and went from there

@MrPur3d You want to be careful if you get them from a petstore they might get their gliders from mills. Also, don't purchase from an airport, mall, fair, or any place where they're vendors who travel. They are all mills. You can purchase them from private breeders that you can find online. But before you buy please do TONS of research there is a lot of money and time spent on these guys. Check out glidercentral. net you can get great info there!

@MetallicaLuv Sometimes, but i keep their claws trimmed, i carefully use nail clippers and take just the very tip off. but in this video yes, eke did scratch my arm, but im used to it

to be honest. i wouldn't train her to be comfortable on the floor/ground outside of her cage. My glider does the same thing. Ekko here is actually chasing after me. I left the camera there lol.

@cocokittin513 Naturally they climb quickly through tree's and glide from branch to branch. so it comes naturally for them to hop quicklly rather than scurry.  best example i can think off the top of my head is a monkey. They climb through tree's and on the ground they sorta hop instead of run.

@cocokittin513 You dont need to make or have a room for them. However I have a room for them. But whenever i wish to let them out and run around. it is usually in my room and i stuff a towl under the door. or i let them roam the house in big hamster balls.

Depends. if they go a long time without seeing each other. its basically like meeting a new glider. and chichi may get pregnant. and if neither is fixed. it will happen. and it will happen like rabbits.

no not at all. if they are together in the pouch, or together period. you will see them mate.  tho the male will bite the female she wont be harmed tho they will make noises and you will believe they are fighting.

@KottenKandiii if your local to VA then you can get some from me. But check around the internet and your local listings for breeders. If the breeders do not ask lots of questions. and poke around a bit before selling to you. then they do not care about them. and that says a lot about their health
