You know that when you look at the picture it is hard to see where each head is, but if you drw your own version, youl get a good deep feeling and understand how the picture is working. Trust me I have done it.

That being said, you have Veil of Mist, possibly Firestorm, Thunderstorm, Deluge, and possibly Power Slash 3. Oh, and you have more skill at the game, more ink, astral pouch, and health, likely the Golden Ink Pot, and experience with Orochi v1.
In short, sure he's stronger now, but you've regained a lot more power than he has.
You go back in time to fight the Orochi which was technically the second time you fought him, but it was really the first, because it's the past that you fought him in.

@conan263 it's the correct picture, "True Orochi" was the Orochi from the past before Shiranui came along, the one you fight the first time in the game is his age-weakened self, ergo, not the True Orochi.
I can manage all of the bosses, and I've completed the game once,but I'mplaying again and I'm stuck on the Blockhead on that island that I've somehow forgotten the name of. It's the one woth ninetails at the top :)
in the room before the blockhead,there will be two ledges.one will have a crack(cherry bomb time).then, use the vine swing technique to get up and go to tobi on the other side. then,get ready for the battle with the dark lord! hope i helped

(ps i've finished the game about 32 times and every time i get there i spend like an hour finding a way to beat him...even if i use a friend or washable markers...=( but now the blockhead's time has come to an end muhahahahaha)

I swear, Orochi isn't as hard as I thought he would be.. killing him three times throughout the game was a piece of cake. The only thing about him was he was time-consuming. Still, though, Orochi is number two on my favorite bosses, next to Ninetails. :D
@Brightfur10 I have a little way to beat Orochi faster. Do you recall the Firestream ability you picked up earlier? That will make short work of (most) of the heads. (The rest will require you to splash water on them while they're out cold to KO 'em faster.)

Yeah, I agree, fighting Orochi the second time was definitely easier. But that's probably because you knew what to do, and by then you were more powerful. ^^; A well, he's still an awesome boss, no matter how you look at him XD

One of the reasons for that is that you had already fought Orochi once before, therefore you know the basics on how things are supposed to work.
The first time you were kind of like, ''o.o' well then...'' Which made it harder.
I found that most of the boss battles only got easier when you fought them on the ark since you knew how to do it.
