They were doing a feature on the Doctor Who christmas special last november, and they had stills from the real trailer. But because the editor has the brain of a nat, he put a screenshot from your fake trailer into the feature. You may think of this as an easy mistake to make, but bear in mind, this guy changed Dennis the Menace into Denace the Minor Annoyance. Retard.

You know what makes this really good? It's the zig-zaggy eyes and the zig zaggy camera. Are you aware that this was featured in the Beano?
They were doing a feature on the Doctor Who christmas special last november, and they had stills from the real trailer. But because the editor has the brain of a nat, he put a screenshot from your fake trailer into the feature. You may think of this as an easy mistake to make, but bear in mind, this guy changed Dennis the Menace into Denace the Minor Annoyance. Retard.

On the original I could tell it wass fake, because all the images were who promo pics, even the one outside the forcefield was an image of smith on his first day of shooting... But it is brilliant considering what it was made from!

@dwcast25 That is not true at all, you can not assume that because 53% of 0.02% of the population are female and like a certain program that it is equal to the same percent of females across the country, that's absurd! Without actually finding out from EVERYBODY what their tastes are and what programs they are watching when, there is no real way of knowing the actual percentage of people watching or listening to anything, all you can guarantee is that 53% of that specific group are female and

@TheAngeloquistos Just because it's "possible" that the rest of the country is on the computer, doesn't mean it's realistic. If half the country has their TVs turned off, chances are the test group does too. If you find a better study that shows a dip, I'd be prepared to listen. But for the moment, the only evidence shows no such drop.
Using your argument, I could say that the Doctor Who audience has doubled. What makes you think that the audience has gone down instead of up?

And you can argue that the results are incorrect because EVERYBODY wasn't asked, of course you can use this as a solid back for an argument, what you can't do is argue back that 0.02% of the population can possibly represent truthful and reliable figures for the public on the whole. @dwcast25 percentage of 11,000 people are watching a program, for all the TV stations know or care, the rest of the country could have their TVs switched off at that point or even on another channel, or would have turned over when they got bored, there is no way these numbers can possibly be used to make claims that tens of thousands to millions of people tuning in at any one time, the only true way to know for sure is to give every household the same opportunity as the 11000

@TheAngeloquistos What I meant is that if 10% of the country likes watching Top Gear, then 10% of the test group will too. So lets say that there is a study across 11,000 UK citizens that discovers that 53% are female. It would be safe to assume that this is the same percentage of females across the entire country. You can't just argue that the results are incorrect because not EVERYBODY was asked. With a population of test-subjects this large, the outliers will always cancel each other out.

What about the people who aren't in? The people who don't watch TV? @dwcast25 I just want to make a quick point about TV ratings and how they are actually calculated... The TV broadcasters don't actually know how many people across the country are watching a certain program, it's pure guess work. There's a company called BARB who controls the figures, they have given ONLY 1500 people across the whole country a little black box that is attached to their TVs and each person in the household is given a remote control to the box to state which channel they are

@TheAngeloquistos First of all, that number you have is incorrect. It measures a population of 11,300 people, not 1500 like you claim. And they didn't just randomly select these households; they make sure that 10% of the homes they measure are the same "viewing environments" as 10% of the country. It is a carefully designed system, not a blind guess. And it's just as likely that the reported figures are lower than they should be and Doctor Who is ALOT more popular than previously reported.

It's all bollocks, they can't say thet 10% of the country is tuning in just because 150 of the 1500 people with the box is, but this is how they do it. You know what makes this really good? It's the zig-zaggy eyes and the zig zaggy camera. Maybe jitter-vision or whatever it's called is commonplace now to the point where people ADD it to their home movies for "realism" but i still find it awesome when used properly. Well done! (and that's after seeing the actual episode a few times ^_^)

Doctor Who used to be my FAVORITE show, but its just not that good anymore.
Its a shame cause matt smith is exllecent, its the writers who are letting it down.
They just dont seem to get you need a love interest to keep the story going.
thats why rose and the doctor was the best series ever made.
WHY on earth have they picked a married couple as the doctors companions, its SO dull!?? you need aliens + adventure + a love story to make the perfect doctor who episode!

What are people arguing over? Honestly, this is like the whole rock vs rap arguements and all that other random hate crap that cloggs every other video. People like different things, get over it. @dwcast25 all lies, so we can't actually say that more of the actual public are watching anything because they don't honestly know, they're just guessing a percentage from such a tiny percentage of the population. So as for the ratings going "up", there's no actual evidence of this on a public scale, it's just guess work. It's easy to confirm this, just google how the TV networks know viewing figures and you'll see for yourself, just 1500 people are selected for this special treat, it's nonsense

@dwcast25 if the shit stories keep coming and the inconsistencies persist, then yes the show will be cancelled. It's not like I can say it's going off the air now, I can't. All I can do is tell you it WILL happen at this rate. I said it with Heroes, Moonlight and many others, this is no different because you think it is, it will happen and my proof will soon come and let's be honest, with the BBC it's not hard to get good ratings for one of their programs considering the rubbish they air daily

@TheAngeloquistos The BBC doesn't cancel shows because of a drop in the quality, they cancel shows because of a drop in the ratings. And as long as Doctor Who keeps its ratings, and remember: "With the BBC, it's not hard to get good ratings for one of their programs", it won't be canceled. I guess we'll just have to be grumpy and deal with the brilliance Moffat keeps creating. Oh well.

Sure, like many fans of RTD era, i tuned in hoping dr who will have improved thanks to a new increased budget but alas, what a disappointment. How boring. Matt smiths potrayal is gettin old too, too goofy and not in the least bit heroic or threatning like tenant. Moffat changed dr who from an awards winning ratings phenomenom to a borefest of epic proportions.
