  • people who dislike this are assholes :)

  • I love his calm and sweet voice. This is all I can say about that.

  • LOVE this, beautiful photos of Paul....thanks so much for sharing!

  • didn't kern &fields write 'the way you look tonight' many years ago...I have Peter Skellern's version.

  • Una joya de Paul. Desconocía su existencia. Gracias por compartirla amiga Letty!!!!

    Feliz 2012!!!

    Un abrazo de tu amigo

    Lope

  • Quiero descargar esta version! pero no esta por ningun lado :c

  • Sounds like a precursor to "I Will"

  • trainchugger53, this is a jam while they were recording ''I Will''.

  • @TheOneBeatleManiac I did notice the older Paul's higher and smoother voice

  • what are the chords on guitar?

    to this song ofcourse

  • John playing the skulls

  • ...bela porcaria!

  • Is this from the "I will" sessions?

  • @Max12Weidler It's the same chord progression and percussion

  • I wish I lived in the 60's for one day. god damn

  • What the fuck is this, you guys actually think this is Paul?

  • @kawaiipanda24

    We know it is.

  • @kawaiipanda24 Yep, it was recorded when he was still with The Beatles

  • @kawaiipanda24 You obviously don't know how Paul sounds.

  • @kawaiipanda24 Absolutely no doubt it is. Are you a Beatles fan?

  • @kawaiipanda24 No, we think it's John Cleese. GTFO

  • this is fucking awesome

  • The birth of "I Will".

  • I love how in this you can hear how e found the chords he liked and was just messing with the lyrics and tune and at the end he say I will. You can really see how McCartney works out his songs. This slowly tranformed into I will.

  • Oh this is so perfect, this video is lovely. Paul is allways to cute and adorable, is the best person that I can see till today :). And the Beatles the best band ever. <3. I Love you.

  • Play...now you're pregnant baby xD

I loveee him and this version of the song

  • It's like a mix between "I will" and sinatra's "the way you look tonight"

  • dangit, paul

this just makes you more beautiful

  • If I was born way too earlier I would've married Paul.

  • me pueden enviar un link para descargar esa cancion no la he encontrado en ningun lado porfavo !!!!!!!!!!!1

  • WHY YOU BE MARRIED PAUL? D:

  • This is a great bit for a loved one...

  • Suena casi igual que I will.

  • Just Love it...Just when you think you've heard it all...Wonderful

  • Paul definitely had the most kissable looking lips I'd ever seen.

  • So lyrics are the same lyrics as "I will" from the white album..:))

  • Comment removed

  • I wish there is a boy that looks exactly like paul next door..:))

    Hahaha..But I think that's impossible..:))

  • Horrendous!

  • . . he never wrote it! ¬¬ it was fred astaire!

  • @alan26930

Fred did not write songs, he sang and danced them. The music was Jerome Kern, but the words he is singing was by Dorothy Fields.

  • What year did Paul did this song?

  • "I Will"

  • @Predak..

It's not a performance, it's a studio jam session recording. Big difference. They were most likely high as fuck and just goofing off. It's Paul mixing 'The Way You Look Tonight,' a non beatles song, with 'I Will'

  • I think it's not too bad

  • WTF? O.o

  • This. . . this is terrible. How can the Beatles, one of my favorite music groups ever, perform this standard so BADLY?

  • @Predak4082

He is not performing standard here. He was obviously working on a new new song, heavily inspired by the classic Kern tune. He never intended us to hear this, it is his private sketch pad. All artists borrowed from each other, as a musician I find this piece fascinating.

  • Paul was the new blood to a lot of 1930's composers and I'm sure they were relieved to hear their influence be so tastefully interpreted. His father's music certainly rubbed off on him and ultimately became a big part of his inspiration for melody too. If you like how Paul used melody then you just might enjoy 1930's music. BTW nothing sounds as good on an old home organ (cheap cheap on craigslist) than 1930's music.

  • "Such a relationship didn't have a leg to stand on, as it were."

    Oh you.

  • This is a great song. What was the classic song of jerome kern called?

  • Dang, this really stinks.

  • @stewspin

Saying this stinks is like looking at a practice pad of Da Vinci, where he was experimenting blending of different colors or brush techniques, and saying it stinks.

  • @Ribzypunk Sorry, the comparison with Da Vinci didn't leap to mind, but even if it did I'd have to say, "yes, his 'experimental blending of different colors or brush techniques' does also stink." Just because a great artist has to expend resources to learn things doesn't necessarily qualify those resources as works to be presented to the public. Sorry, only our best work should be put front and center.

  • @stewspin

"only our best work should be put front and center."

That's the point. This was NOT front and center. It was released against Sir Paul's desires, as most bootlegs are, and are appreciated by those of us who understand what we're hearing. This is not art, it is him preparing to create art.

  • @Ribzypunk Point well made and duly noted. Enjoy.

  • Yes, of course definetly Paul. I didn´n t knew it. Thanks for sharing. Really fine.

  • is this really paul? it doesnt sound like him.

  • @brittanynoel02 If it's not Paul, then why'd they use the songs Paul performed on this same tape ("Step Inside Love" and "Los Paranoias") on Anthology 3? XD

  • @brittanynoel02 Yeah, no it sounds exactly like him. noone else could sound this amazing <3

  • paul rules. and thts all i have to say about that!

  • Aww ^_^.

  • i sang this to my girlfreind with my guitar and u shuld have seen her face we kissed for about 2 hours straight ! i love this song and this version of it!

  • @heybulldog98 cool comment.

  • look at this "angel" face at 0:31

  • Wow, the begining's of "I Will".

  • Lots of thumbs down because this is a mislabeled song, not because Paul is bad or something. This is Paul playing around with a new melody (ultimately to become "I Will") and playing around with lyrics, including slipping in some lyrics from The Way You Look Tonight, but it's certainly not him doing a cover of that song. Funny how these little demo tapes of them playing around end up listened to by hundreds of thousands of people and then are rated by those people.

  • This is just an outake from the White Album. Paul messing around with "I Will". No he didn't write "Just the Way You Look Tonight". It just seemed to "fit".

  • Never heard this.. where the hell is it from? Music is I Will... obviously...

  • @1965moonflower it's Paul indeed

  • I love paul (:

  • He wrote "I will" after the first time he met Linda, maybe it came from this song, if he was playing around like this, maybe it's the first ever recording of a McCartney song being born, and shows how he used old masterpieces to help him write new ones!

    Great video anyway, thanks MissBeatles

  • @stephenoconnor78 I think you nailed it because McCartney has said as much himself about sometimes getting another song in his head and using it as a jumping off point for something of his own.

  • This is " I Will" , crowning :-)

  • The song is called Just The Way You Look Tonight, by Jerome Kern. Nice to know it inspired I Will. Thanks for posting this.

  • love himmmm<3

  • EYE CANDYYYYYYY!!!!!!

  • huh? when is this from? this is I will (tempo-wise and word-wise), like a variation on the song. are you saying it's someone else's song (sorry, I always really only listened to the beatles since age, like, 12)

  • Fun to hear, since I had never heard it before. Just larking about I'm sure. Not his best work, but good times.

  • ahhh, the paul seduces too! is beautiful ....

  • where did this come from?

  • i LOVE the Beatles...,and i also LOVE Paul.....but this is absolutely AWFUL !! Hey, nobody's perfect. I clicked it out of curiosity.....but it's ...oh never mind. LOL

  • @huckhockey hey he's just playing around :) and his voice as magic as ever I think

  • My Paulie <333

  • ♥_♥

  • the song is the continued i wiil and can you take me back

  • uuugggghhhhh.........so darn cute!!!!!!! I love his eyes

  • @JanelleandSean uuugggghhhhh....... its getting a little old. we fucking get it, so keep it to yourself next time.

  • Its funny how it sounds like "can you take me back" xD

  • Paul is so handsome :D Briliant song!

  • @downey5558 shut up. His voice is a pure gold sensation. They are beautiful and the best musicians to ever live.

  • holy crap! a baby I Will before it grew up! Thanks! terrific!!!

  • wow!

  • Paul could've made a BEAUTIFUL girl. He's just so lovely.

  • didnt paul go out without a whore nd he stabbed her i read tht somewhere it is obviously fake but it was on those fake newspaper which make me mad

  • Oh man, where do you find this stuff?

  • @downey5558 fuck you. you try and do better. oh wait-- you're not a musical genious who's influence will live on for as long as music endures, are you?

  • @downey5558

leave it to a bitch to ruin a lovely page

  • @downey5558 if u think they "ruin songs" which obviosly nobody else here thinks whyy did u come to listen to it ?

  • I love their jam sessions. They're so sexy.

  • EXCELENTEEEEE !!!! Great song .....thnx for the tip ... i don't knew the fact of I will .....

  • Also known as: I will ;)

  • thank you for posting

    one happy beatle fan 5*

    beleive in love

    trevor sizzle

  • Eh, hear at the end. This is the first part of the jam. The second part is "Can You Take Me Back", must notably heared at the end of "Cry Baby Cry".

  • this is from a jam session during the recording of I Will, has the same-ish chord progression so he went for it, it's just a joke outtake, never meant to be released, for those of you who apparently can't tell.

  • "this is def"

  • this is def where paul got the inspiration to write" i will"

  • I thought the same thing the second I heard this.

  • @MahatMagandi93 No... this was just an outtake from the "I Will" session. He got bored and improvised around that song.

  • @MahatMagandi93

    Excellent obseration!

  • @MahatMagandi93 this is i will. just different words. its the same exact chords and percussion and everything. just different words

  • @fguka That's correct.

  • @MahatMagandi93 This isn't where he got the inspiration for "I Will", in a sense this is a precursor to that song. This ISN"T the song, "The Way You Look Tonight", by Jerome Kern. This is just McCartney doodling, in a manner of speaking, with a tentative melody and variations on a chord progression and lyrics. The parts that sound familiar to you as "I Will" are the segments that morphed further into "I Will".

  • @MahatMagandi93 no, it's not. they were recording I Will and sometimes at the session they did several ad-lib songs like this.

  • @MahatMagandi93 Being that this was actually take 36 of "I Will" (Paul kept improvising as the takes drew on), definitely no.

  • @MahatMagandi93 no this was during the recording session for "I Will" it was just a jam.

  • @MahatMagandi93 I think this is just an early version of 'I Will' to be honest. The chords are the same and the feel and some of the lyrics, sometimes people just revise their songs I guess

  • @MrRyanSams My thoughts exactly :-)

  • @MrRyanSams Exactly my first thought, as I instantly started whisteling "I will" along to the chords!

  • Its not a fake, its an outtake from The White Album

  • THIS IS PAUL LIKE A SOMETHIN COVER-ALIKE TO

    i WILL WHITE ALBUM

  • EXELLENT SONG

    GREAT

    WOW

  • This is definitely Paul doing a song from the late 30's. I believe it is from Swing Time w/ Fred Astaire, although it was made more famous later by Sinatra and Paul's idol, Tony Bennett.

  • @Ribzypunk How is it?Paul was born around 40's...

  • @purplemint11

How is it that a man that was born in the 40's could sing a song that was written in the 30's? Is that what you're asking??

  • Comment removed

  • @Ribzypunk No,I mean how can he write a song in 30s when he was born in 40s..

    I just mixed up..:))

  • Comment removed

  • It is surely Paul McCartney, but is really a Beatles song, i.e. a McCartney song before 4/10/70?

  • Best Cover!!!!

    So inovative!!

    GO MCARTNEY!!

  • its definitly paul

  • This is NOT the Beatles!!

  • not only the lyrics, also the cords!

  • i love paul!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I've heard a lot of Beatles outtakes but not this one. You can hear Paul taking bits and pieces of the Kern standard, munging them and making the words and melody his own. thanks for posting.

  • Awesome pictures of Paul Thanks!

  • You don't think possibly that the lyrics for "I Will" could have been ripped off this perhaps? Listen to them both.

  • it's an early version of the song:)

  • Hmmm, yeah, they sound pretty similar....

  • Costa305...Yes, but the lyrics written by the great Dorothy Fields, who wrote such great stuff in a field dominated by men:

"On The Sunny Side Of The Street," "I'm In The Mood For Love," "(Hey) Big Spender." Plus many other big hits not very well known today (it's only been about 75 years since she wrote them!).

  • Women?

    ...Oh kitchen dweller!

    Gotcha!

  • 0:41.

He is lovley. I almost didn't hear that the music stopped in the end, because the pictures keept coming.

    =)

  • This must be the predecessor to "I Will"

  • Sounds just like it.

  • :56. :]

  • Where is this from? Tell me now!!! :)

  • This is a song written by Jerome Kern in 1936. McCartney has used that song as the basis of this ditty.

  • Comment removed

  • just lovely...

  • ¡Again (Sir) Paul McCartney with his sweety voice! What I have not clear is in the date of the song.

  • 0:17.... OMG HE'S SO LOVELY !

  • Too bad Paul's marriage to Heather Mills didn't work out. Such a relationship didn't have a leg to stand on, as it were. But in any case, this is a lovely rendition of the classic Jerome Kern song.

  • lol..

  • @JubalCalif "Such a relationship didn't have a leg to stand on..."

I saw what you did there.

  • @RosefurOfTheShadows

    Indeed....

  • @JubalCalif Heather wasn't good enough for him. Besides, he's only trying to fill the empty space that Linda left when she passed away and he hasn't realized yet that that space could never be filled by someone as young and foolish as one Heather Mills.

  • @jpmccsgirl

    Indeed.

  • @JubalCalif I doubt very much if this is consciously a version of "The Way You Look Tonight". There are just a few notes in the whole snippet that happen to mimic a small part of that melody. The majority of the melody is the gestation of "I Will". The whole feel, style and beat are "I Will" in the making. If there is anything unconscious or conscious resembling the Jerome Kern song, it's just there as a jumping off point to McCartneys own composition. A vehicle to get somewhere else!

  • @changing3

Very well put & well said. THANKS very much for your insightful, articulate, intelligent & informative comment! CHEERS! :-)

  • w0w they were cute then..

  • I LOVE Paul =(((

  • What is your purpose when the world knows The Beatles did not sing this?

  • i will?xDhaha

  • THE face that set a nine year old's heart AFIRE in 1965 and STILL sends this fifty three year old into orbit...Paul has a "face with a view"!!!!

  • I'm with you, Babyhowdy, although I was much more mature at the time, being fifteen. Takes you back in a great way.

  • Yecch! Mac still has the musical chops to do a proper version of this wonderful Jerome Kern song.

To be fair, I am sure that this wasn't meant for release...just fartin' around.

  • Love this little jam. Is this off of Purple Chick's White Album remastering?

  • Great pictures!!
