I have apple care. It paid for itself on my other powerbook when the superdrive went. Didn't cost me a dime. On this one the power cord went. I got a $100 set of replacement cords for the cost of my signature. I'm not usually big on warrantees but I LOVE Apple care.
That Nutcheese is crafty, festive, athletic AND handy!! If you keep advertising her great skill set EVERYONE will want her, gotta keep this stuff secret Mi Amore!!
Way cool! We have no hesitation replacing stuff in a desktop, but laptops are scarier for some reason. I'm suitably impressed and also think it's cool that you brag on Kelley publicly! You two are lucky to have such great friends in each other.

A tip!!
Get a R/C car oil bottle with the needle tip,poke a whole in the center of the fan and squirt a bit of oil in the bushing of the fan!
Keeps the fan alive forever or until you buy a new one ;0)

I'm a Mac addict too. I replaced the hard drive in my MacBook and added a bunch of RAM to it too. I love my Mac!!

A lot of times a drop of oil on the fan bearing will let it work for another year or so before it finally dies. But never hurts to replace it :)
