Y'know, it's kinda weird to see a Vazquez fight go this long and see his face virtually unmarked, especially the way his face ended up after each of the Marquez fights. It's like seeing a Gatti fight where he doesn't bleed.

Vasquez is an awesome fighter nowadays! But that was a weak performance. Pacquiao blew Julio away in 2 rounds. It took 10 rounds for the ref to finally jump in to stop it. Julio was never on the elite level. Vasquez now is at the top of his game with his 2nd win over Marquez.

It actually took Pacquiao 4 rounds to beat Julio. But you gotta remember that styles make fights and Pacquiao and Vazquez have two different styles. At 122, Manny was a dynamo who overwhelmed his opponents with blazing speed of hand and foot, tremendous power, and pure offensive aggression. Izzy, on the other hand, is a Chavez-type, who breaks his opponents down piecemeal with a ruthless body attack and immense pressure before they're completely taken apart.

I'll give you an example. Both Hearns and Hagler beat Duran within a year of one another. Hagler won by a close 15 round decision in a war, while Hearns later destroyed Duran with a 2nd round KO. However, when Hagler and Hearns fought, Hagler ran over Hearns in 3 rounds. Basically, you can't judge fighters solely by their performances against one opponent.
