  • Tony Royster é fogo para mim o melhor

  • Só tem gringo nessa merda .

  • royster and marco could show emmory a few things buuuut donati could show them all some things

  • take your negitivity and shove it up your a*se , im looking to show my son stuff to inspire him and you jackasses have your racist comments up here, you probably could'nt hit a barn boor with a rattle , and your giving these guys the grief, grow up. ps im a white scotsman , just sick of this garbage

  • this video was cut wayyy too short.

  • go back to gueto and go sing rap fuckers

  • Opinions are like buttholes.

Everyone has one and they all stink.

Shut up about who's "best". No one is "best", only different and unique.

You like one better, you prefer another style, you enjoy so-and-so better. Fine.

THAT doesn't constitute someone being better, as if YOU are the arbiter of what "best" is.

  • @MarkHarrellJr Bro, thank you for actually having a reasonable comment. Now if only this was the kind of world where people actually listened to sense...

  • COOL! A nice drumset Trio in stead of the typical drum battles! Love it!

  • Drummers a? Always pissing and moaning about who's better etc. That was an awesome jam. :)

  • in my opinion Marco is the best one here

  • who's the royster wannabe in the middle?!

  • @CHRISTIAN6182 Thats Sonny Emory one of Tony's mentors and influences....he's known for touring with Earth Wind and Fire.

  • @Moog168 damn he looks just like tony!

  • @CHRISTIAN6182 You mean Tony looks just like him? Lololol

Sonny is older than Tony :)

  • @Moog168 yes xD

  • @CHRISTIAN6182 got it backwards; Royster is an Emory wanna be (ha, ha)!

  • i was there

  • *dies*

  • @bartdgro no i mean Yamaha

  • @bartdgro

    i think sonor

  • Marco is currently the best drummer. He has however not proven him self within a proper band

  • @J0B0S0 He drummed with a few bands. I think having both Necrophagist and a jazz big band in your CV is pretty impressive.

And, most drumming greats never find their band. I'd say they're just so good they'd want something that fits their musical thinking perfectly, which is very hard to find. Having a drummer THAT good in a band would just be bad internally. Which is why people like Minnemann, Lang and Donati do solo projects / sessions, and jazz drummers form "their" bands. (Dave Weckl band?)

  • tony royster is a fag

  • @TheMASDrummer Why??????????????????????????????

  • @johnsondoug18

when i met him, i said hello and he said

    go away

and then he gave an angry look

    thats why i hate him

  • @TheMASDrummer You know, he could of just had a shitty day and didn't want to talk. That happens to musicians too.

  • @TheMASDrummer HAHA First thing that came to mind was an episode of Family Guy when Peter gets a rectal exam and he didnt't know what it was and thought the doctor raped him. When questioned in court about it his flashbacks were in black and white with eery music and the doctor groping him. (lol) Not to say this wasn't bad.. Convo made me think about it. But yeah that's messed up!

  • tony on a low budget kit XD hinthint[PDP]

  • @Clancedrums lol Low Budget kits doesn't mean they sound bad. Nisan Stewart prefers PDP over DW so does Eric Moore it's all in preference or whats in stock lolol.

  • not a competition, just a balls out drum jam.

  • sick drumming....

    100%

  • i was there on the night, they threw out free stuff it was insane. to be honest, marco was the least impressive. sonny was definitely my favourite.

  • they all suck lol get travis barker in here

  • @youfucktubenickname Damnit! You're entirely right!

Who needs skill and musicality when you can have incomprehensible record sales and hordes of adoring, mindless fans?!

  • @youfucktubenickname hehe good joke!

  • Marco is simply genius and thats why he is beat Sonny and Tony

  • Minnemann kills them all, not even funny

  • Tony sei un grande

  • I love how Tony and Sonny are both fixing their doo rags before they play, Marco's just looking at them like..."anytime you guys are ready...".

    too funny

  • huge talent in that room!!!!!

  • Marco should teach these two a few things about subtle playing and independence.

  • @ScreamxBloodyxGore not many sing like emory bud!

  • Can they serve a song?

  • All of those comments are incorrect. They do not have to do clinics to keep their endorsements. They do clinics for the money. Yamaha has the worlds best drummers on the roster and does not demand clinics. Name drummers make up to $2000 per clinic. And yes, Greb is a clinician. He's not on the creative music scene, he's not in the pop/rock/gospel scene, and he doesn't do sessions in Nashville, LA or New York. He does clinics. Yea he sounds great playing to track. and solo.

  • Sure you can do whatever you want and there are no rules. But how many of these guys can say they really make music. In 50 years, no one will remember clinicians. They'll remember Steve Gadd, Steve Jordan, Jim Keltner, Vinnie Colaiuta and Bernard Purdie. Guys that work and play music with great artists. Not drummers how go out and play everything fast and complicated.

  • Clinicians are innovators of their instrument. They will be remembered as the first and sometimes only. This idea can be compared to famous painters, the ones who make money do so because they are popular at that time for being a "good artist", however we all know that it takes being ahead of your time to truly be considered great.

  • True

  • @MarcCCoraty

    I couldn't agree more !

  • i completely disagree. these drummers have performed with some of the biggest artists in the world, live and studio.

  • I disagree that clinicians won't be remembered. Terry Bozzio is much better known for his clinics than for Frank Zappa and Missing Persons.

  • You are right. The real musicians will ALWAYS know these people for years to come. Only a few bands will ever have made their mark in history.

  • The beauty of drums is that u can take anyway u want!! Hit the practice room haters out there. stop hitting the play button constantly and start hitting your drums!!!!it just takes prActice for these chops it's not like they have always played that way!!! And the drummers u mentioned do play in real bands and I'm sure they can lay down a groove by now dumbass!!!!!!!!!

  • i like ( king of drummers more) only my opinion :)

  • This stuff is okay, but I really don't get what you guys are listening to when you say it's incredible. Yea the stuff they're playing is physically hard to pull off. BUT don't forget the puspose of drumming in music: to lay down a fat groove. The best drummers are the ones who work the most with musicians. Not clinicians like Lang, Greb and Donati. You have to play music on the instrument. Not just fast complicated rhythms.

  • there is no purpose for any certain instrument. It i a way to play the way the person wants, they want to play this way, because laying down a fat groove is what is expected, it shouldn't be upheld. Plus they are better drummers than you guaranteed, so acting like you more about it than them is just a Napoleonic complex. (sorry coming off really hostile). I agree also.

  • that is the purpose of the instrument in an ensemble or band setting. like any instrument, drums have the ability to be taken out of that setting to display the technical or creative ability of the musician. all of these guys DO play with other musicians, and they scale their playing back a lot when they are backing up another artist, but when you spend your entire life mastering an instrument, you have the right to brag a bit. plus clinics are how they manage to keep their endorsements.

  • @Drumfreke Greb as a clinician? I thought him to be one of the most musical drummers out there. More musician than clinician - although he's got the best of both worlds - and even these world's can overlap! Imagine that, solos can be musical.

  • Wow, I used to teach all those guys. They've really progressed. Brings a tear to my eye.

  • lolollol ahah that was funny

  • I would like Lang instead of MM,.just for awhile

  • what do yoyu mean own??? can't own a person... theyy're just playing music... owning is just for misconcepted musicians..

  • mind-blowing.

  • virgil donati should have been playin too

  • :-D

  • your fuckin' stupid khfan........european have brought a new innovative style to america jojo mayer benny greb thomas lang gavin harrison etc........

  • Tony and Sonny are amazing drummers. But Marco is out of this world, he's in an other dimension. Incredible drummer!

  • tony royster jr all the way this dude is f... aick man amazing druming

  • european drummers always own

  • This is awesome!!

  • listen at 2:15 ...it sounds just like a drumline for a second. AMAZING!!

  • Sonny FTW

  • marco minnemann

  • 3 good drummers...marco owns them....end of discussion.

  • whats wrong with yo ears dog brains...

  • owns what dude? lol

  • yea they do cuz there listening to each other and also there feel kats

  • theyre all great .. but i didint like this video as much as their separate solos

  • check out DENNIS CHAMBERS

  • naw i dont...i live in FL

  • yo this is sick nasty!!! they got some skillz

  • Dude I bet you go to Mott HS

  • COOOOL :)))))))

  • what did you expect with that nickname =P

  • uhm I know these guys are great playing, but I am wondering if its a good idea 3 drummers playing at once, i find it kind of messy, well I guess, the point is to coordinate the whole thing while playing free, also wonder how much its already planned and how much is improvisation, any drummer could tell me how this works???, so one can see that the middle bridge was kind of planned marco was giving the signal, maybe its just planned to be live, I guess its lots more fun live.

  • Its simple. They leave A gap from the 'main groove' for each drummer to take time to solo. Its just everything has to be on time...

  • watch any percussion ensemble video. 3+ drummers play together all the time. it takes a lot of cues and watching each other but it can be very clean. these guys are professionals. they can just feel what goes where. the main groove is planned out but the soloing is probably all improvised.

  • percussion ensembles don't have more than three people playing drum kit all the time. I am hopefully going to do my music bachelors degree in percussion at WAAPA and know lots of people that have already gone threw the system and trust me drumkit trios are quiet rare in an ensemble.

plus I was at this concert and It was Sick as Yay

  • bro....have you ever heard of Shedding??..... check it out on you tube...if your in the new york area...I can put you on to Shed spots....youll see this type of the thing all the time....

  • If he wants to go to WAAPA, and he says things like "Sick as", then he's clearly Australian.

  • You Preach It Bro!!!! PandaTits needs to understand that you don't drink the bong water. What a retarded comment. Sonny is a monster player! ...oh yeah you also forgot Lee Ritenour in your list of credits. Pick up the Alive In L.A. cd if you don't have it. Sonny is priceless!

  • i was at the melbourne AUDW 2007, frank corniola is a good friend of mine

    these guys were amazing

  • Awesome!

  • sonys the drummer for earth wind n fire n hes bad ass that dont even look like him plus im sure its not easy tryin to play next to tony the solo hog

  • wow hes the best1!!

  • WOW

  • good

  • I think it's Marco hands down. He's the most versatile one there. He do and play about anything the kit there. The others are ledgendary too.

  • dude sonny emory is the man.personally, he's cool and as a musician he's the best

  • jesus christ.

all 3 are amazing, but i have to say tony is still my fave.

  • they were all killin

  • sick find, dude! check out T-royce on the PDP huh? crazy shiz dude.

  • im the guy sitting right at marco's feet, best seat

  • did u see a kid and a guy sitting next 2 u guys? well the kid was me! lol

  • when tony royster junior went on tour in australia he sold his kit to one of my dads mates.. its a amazing kit.. its the kit hees using in this clip .. lol

    sounds amazing in gigs!

and its signed by him aswell

    lol

  • cymbles too, or no - Marc A

  • That is my dream kit

  • the best drum battle ever and Sonny Killed them Both....no strings attached

  • Haha, they asked us nicely not to post these vids on Youtube = )

  • marco minnemann what a insane drummer guys that awsome

  • yyyeeeaaahhh i went to that it was ssssoooo insanely techinalaly blowyourmindly wiked

  • All three are Legends! Plus Sonny Emory taught that break at the end to Marco and Tony by the way

  • Marco MURDERS tony royster jr.

  • They are the same to me. Tony Is faster though. Thats a given.

  • i dunno, marco's stuff with necrophagist is off the hook. though i cant say 'v EVER seen anyone play with 1ths with one foot as fast as tony royster Jr. hes got that technique DOWN

  • 1ths? ;P

  • lol, i meant play as fast with one foot

  • It's called singles(single strokes) ;)

  • believe me, i know what single strokes are. what i was saying is i'v never seen anyone play WITH ONE FOOT as fast as tony royster Jr.

  • Then you must not watch a lot of gospel drummers, or know who Derek Roddy is...

  • I don't watch alot of gospel drummers, But derek roddy is one of my biggest influences.

  • I was there! Off the hook.

  • Sono semplicementi dei grandi e nn posso provare che stima per loro!!!vorrei suonare con loro!!!e come loro soprattutto

  • dude those are awsome kits i wish i had thm lol and awsome solos

  • Marco Minnnemann Is best hands down. They are all good, but Marco can play just about anything.

  • I want parts of their drum sets lol!!!!

  • i'd say that all of three of them are better than any one of you so why can't we leave it at that?

  • shut up!!! you clearly don't know what you're talking about.

  • Dude....Shhhh.....Tony is in his 20's now...Check out his DVD from DW Pure Energy..... compared to when he was 17 to now he indeed came a long way in his playing

  • Well, my favorite is Vinnie C. Although I am impressed with all three of these guys! When you start talking about odd time..What about musicial statements? 19/16? What's the point?

Musical Masterbation. You don't have to play it faster than everyone else to be the best!! Make it feel natural and play it in a "groove" setting, that makes Vinnie the KING!!!! Just my opinion as a drummer. I thought keeping TIME was what drumming is about.

  • Yeah but its also being musical. i would rather see a solo thats musically challenging and complex than to c someone go all out. n e 1 can play fast and loud. As a drummer also if i cant follow something i like to listen to it more. like marco does things i havnt even figured out how to do yet. I love vinnie btw

  • I say marco and Tony royster jr are probably the two best freestyle solo drummers in the world, I think marco has it over on TRJ by alot to be honest but all 3 of these guys kill it for sure.

  • versatility - marco is ahead of the tony & sonny, all 3 are equally awesome for what they do though

  • nah, i don't think that tony could last as long as marco. on the summer slaughter tour, necrophagist did their entire epitah album, and about half of their onset of putrefaction album. nor does he have the creative ability of marco. watch the video where he pulls drum beats out of his ass to some randonm simpsons and futurama samples. he lands a 16/19 patern!

  • 19/16

  • It's amazing that he's the drummer of Necrophagist at the moment. Funny how everything is related. :)

  • yikes, a few good men. All splendid expensive kit make me happy jealous too like a shoe.

  • marcos the best

  • theyve got nothing on tony royster jr.

  • Minnemann and Royster Jr. rival each other to such an extreme that it boils down to personal preferance of who's the "better" drummer/musician. Speed, musicality, showmanship, coordination and they're both awesome fellows. :)

  • I'd say marco is the better musician by far, he has such versatility in all the types of music he has written and the bands he has played for. As for drummer I'd say it can be based on opinion, but for that I like marco's style a lot more too.

  • completley agree. tony is definitley the best.

  • Definately insane shit here .I fuckin love it

  • HOLY crap i was there im the guy who at the start gos YEH!!

  • haha, that's helerious. good on ya. it seemed like you got the atmosphere started for it!

  • woo thats sick man

  • yeah man it was an awesome concert! but im not jay from northam man. thnks 4 watchin.
