it´s not important wheter the blue ones or the greens ones are the russians ... All what counts is the intention of the filmproducer ... and btw. he is a russian ... so u cant generalise them with THE RUSSIANS ... every human had\has his own opinion ... and that should be tolerated ....
There were russians who thought the cold war stupid and americans who thought the cold wars stupid. Also a lot of filmmakers on both sides were able to sneak subversive criticisms of their own governments through the theme of mutual annihilation. Czech filmmaker Jan Svankmajer (who eventually got exiled for his films) is my favorite example of this - he later came back in 1990 with a film called 'death of stalinism in bohemia' that is him tapdancing on the graves of soviet era censorship
It's interesting how some people here are commenting on the "stupid americans would never of thought like this" or "Russia never wanted to start a WWIII".
In that respect, Russia's the green match, and America's the blue match, and guess what. Both are destroyed at the end.
I can't believe after watching this video some people state how anti-war they are and then obviously take a side in the cold war just because this happened to be made during the CCCP.

I think that many problems of modern world is the result of Cold War....result of such end of Cold War...take Chine for eximple...they made reform of their communistic order..and now they have socialist-capitalist order...
And what our politics did in our country? they just crushed everything...most of fabrics and plants was stoped...many people lost their work. There was a way to save USSR and make it like Chine. And this is our mistake that we last that chance :(

we prepared only to defence our mothrerland...my grandfsther was oficer of Soviet army...served in rocket troops...
