  • I've had a few stovepipes (probably 1 in 25 or so) with mine using Federal bulk ammo. Doesn't bother me too much considering the price (of the bulk ammo) and the fact that I do not use it for self defense.

  • Is the 22/45 better then the 22LR ?

  • @SquirrelMasterOne I think you meant, "is the MKIII better than the 22/45?"

They're pretty much the same when it comes to accuracy. It all boils down to personal preference......I'd PM this guy though, seems he knows which one he wants.

  • Great shooting. Just bought a Ruger 22/45 and it is unbelievably accurate.

  • @mlindsay527

Not only accurate, I've never had gun more reliable than a Ruger 22/45.

  • Very nice shooting

  • Nice Shooting man!

  • good shooting dude. makes me think i need some serious practice.

  • Not Bad shooting for a yank, you have fans in Australia Brandon, keep up the good work!

  • Shot off one of these, such lightness. Makes aiming soooo muuch easier. Good and simple gun like a glock

  • CAN NOT WAIT TO GET MINE

Would you happen to have an opinion on the "Volquartsen" brand line of parts for these puppies? Fine shootin by the way.

  • Great shootin! I love my 22/45!!! So much fun!

  • That is some excellent shooting! I also have a MkIII and I agree with you: they are the finest production .22 pistols made.

    Peace.

  • I absolutely love my mkiii, though I noticed if u don't feed it the right ammo it tends to jam up quite a bit

  • Seriously, FPS America

  • FPS america

  • this is pretty badass, you are probably shooting close to or beyond the accuracy limits of that pistol.

  • A little known fact is that these videos are Hickok 45 when he was younger ;)

Just kidding, but it almost looks true.

  • Amazing. At 1:02 you can actually see the mark the bullet makes on the steel _before_ you hear the shot. (its because the sound of the "ding" takes a bit of time to travel back to the camera).

  • @ResponsibleCitizen64 That is just amazing. Wow (sarcasm)

  • I have a MKIII Target Hunter, stainless with the fluted barrel. Like he said; one of the best semi-auto 22's EVER made.

  • Cool looking gun. That's probably closer to 100 yards though.

  • @zdoroteoarangoz Run that distance in 10 seconds flat then you can say its 100

  • @steriodduck i should have said "it looks closer to 100 yards" rather than "its probably 100 yards". im basing my guess on my recollection of when i used to shoot a scuba diving tank at 175 yards with my mark iii and could have sworn the delay was much longer, your delayed ping sounds almost like mine when i shoot at 210 yards with 7.62x39 which is almost twice as fast as 22 cal. But if you're sure its 200 yards then you know better than i do as you where actually there

  • Nice video i just bought one today

  • Awesome shootin' ,where you get the grips ?

  • Holy crap, good job!

  • Nice. Boom.....see the splat.....bong

    Great shooting, great video.

  • SELL ME THOSE GRIPS!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Dang you could shoot at a squirrel all day and never hit him.

  • @cobrachoppergirl I'd like to see you shoot ANYTHING at 200yds with a MkIII..

  • I have the same gun and shot it 350 yards yesterday. I was really surprised at how accurate this gun really is; definitely a blast to shoot!

  • wonder if you can shoot cci stingers in that thing

  • @superhawkn I shoot them in my MKIII. No problems whatsoever.

  • what is your sight adjustment?or hold?

  • god dawwwyyymmm!!!

  • bang.............. ping. lol nice shot

  • wow you're a good shot bro!

  • holy shit. where'd you get those grips????

  • More Cowbell

  • wow this is what i am taling about i hit it every time with my reuger mark 2 .country girl here

  • @gulleycharlene If i could trade my mark 3 for a mark 2, i would. They're workhorses, and most importantly, not over engineered. The safety features are too overdone (like you cant drop out a mag by pushing a button, you have to pull it out manually, slows reload time.

  • I'm impressed. Nice shooting.

  • Really impressive! I've shot mine at our range in Austria yesterday. Outstanding gun.

  • Outstanding shooting! I agree with you the MkIIIs are probably the best production .22 pistols made.

  • nice aiming

  • 200 FEET may-be? Olympic pistol competition is only up to 50 meter (55 yards) and those guys with nice 22lr pistols work darn hard to hit the target.

  • where did you get those grips or does 1911 grips work on the mark lll 22 45

  • this is the second best zombie gun.....next the the 10/22

any hi cap mags for these?

  • Nice! what kind of ammo wee you using? also do you have a ny tips for sighting

in the open sights. I cant seem to get my mkiii to shoot that good. I know it will though thanks.

  • Do you have someone with a cow bell standing behind you? Just kidding. Nice shooting.

  • watch?v=v5Rm0GMWQ9I

  • does any one know what barrel I should use for the Mark III? I was thinking of the tapered barrel because it is cheeper. I would mostly be target shooting.

  • @ryantwiggsmith909 I have the bull barrel 5.5" and I love it. I would say though that the standard tapered barrel would be just fine. I bought the bull barrel because I am not really a fan of the looks of the tapered barrel and I appreciate the extra weight up front. For just informal plinking at cans and paper the tapered will be much more than adequate. I love my Ruger but I do find myself wanting a buckmark also, so you should look at those too. Good luck!

  • @robs104 thank you for the helpful advice

  • Which Mark III is this one? Can you provide the model number please?

  • I just put in an order for the Target model. It will be my first gun and I'm psyched to be shooting again. Doubt I'll be anywhere with a 200 yard range (Living in Los Angeles), but the range down the road gives me up to 50 to work with I believe. This video helped me decide for sure, so thanks for putting it up and nice shooting!

  • Very nice my friend!

  • Hey Brandon,

Have you shot the 22/45 and if so what's your impression of the differences between the two?

Do you have a preference and why?

    Thanks for the vids.

  • Great shooting amigo!

  • I'm selling my 22-250 Savage and buying one of these. Tried one at the range last weekend and now I have to have one.

  • You are the man, excellent shooting brother. Taking my new Mark III Talo edition to the range tomorrow. Don't think I'll be shooting as far as you.

  • Very impressive! I do love the Ruger Mark II and III (minus disassembly)

  • wow I subbed as soon as you hit it first shot.

  • Excellent shooting! I agree with you the Ruger MK pistols are excellent pistols. I have an older MK2 and it is not only accurate but very reliable. Good work.

  • Nice shooting!

  • this reminds me of our local discipline shooting steel plates at 25m (a bit more than 25 yards). You have 2 mags with 8 rounds and have to hit 5 targets in the shortest possible time. I have a hard time finishing them with one mag btu seeing this, i believe you would do it in about 10 sec or less lol

  • Hi Brandon,

Please help clarify. I don't understand how the Ruger MK111 is capable of being so accurate at 200 yards. Most people or owners of the Ruger 10/22 (using a barrel that is usually about 16-18" long) say that the accurate range is up to about 125 yards. A few 10/22 shooters claim they can shoot further up to 200 yards accurately though with or without a scope and maybe a bull barrel I don't know. I'm feeling perplexed here. Thanks.

  • @freeheretic111 I can assure you it's more than possible to hit targets at 200m with a 10/22. It's a lot harder to do with iron sights from a pistol. It requires a great deal of discipline. It is possible however.

  • @Aussie038 Thank you Aussie I appreciate your reply about the 10/22. I agree that pistols with iron sights would be much more of a challenge. Do you have any personal experience with the Ruger MK series of .22 caliber pistols? A scoped MK3 might be a 22 caliber solution. Should the Zombie Apocalypse occur I want to be prepared yet realistically. I would rather have 3 or 4 firearms that I can bug-out with rather then 15 specialized ones that I can't carry with me and have to leave behind.

  • Very impressive! Great video, thanks. I own the Ruger SP101 and am getting the SR9C this weekend. Now, you have inspired me to consider one of the many Ruger semi 22s!

  • nice vid. great presentation, accent, attitude and most importantly good lighting and timing of the vid. BTW...I've been on the fence about which 22 pistol to purchase. You just convinced me to buy the Ruger Mark III in black.

  • That is one menacing sounding .22!!! And accurate as anything! Haha im taken, this WILL be my first gun!! Forget the sig mosquito and walther p22!! Not to mention great video!

  • Nice shooting!

  • Not to be redundant but that was some very impressive shooting. I agree with the Mark III rules! I am absolutely blow away by this video! Way to go!

  • impresive it rly is although i do wonder the lethality of the round at that point

  • who the heck would not like this video? also what state is this in man? looks similar to here in north ga? Also what kind of sights are those? I just picked up another MKIII 22/45 and I dont really like the sights.

  • nice shooting! my dad owns the same exact gun besides the grip its a great gun and fun to shoot!

  • where did you get that gun and how much did it cost?

  • Nice shooting! Is this the MKIII Target or the 22/45?

  • nice!

  • ruger MKs.great 22 pistols

  • Good shooting first of all, but its really not that practical even at 100yrds because the .22 lr drops about 6in at 100.

  • I am looking at getting one of these to qualify for my cc permit. I think the max range they want us to fire is 1" groups at 21 yards? I need to get this soon so I can apply next month. Do you recommend or do you have to use the guns you plan on cc for the range test? I know states may vary but overall?

  • indeed impressive

  • good shooting. i've got a MKIII 22/45 also. love it.

  • I swear by the Ruger MKIII where did you get those grips???

  • This vid just turned me into a subscriber!

  • Hey just wondering are you aiming high at all?

  • Ahhhhhh yes the .22, the pellet gun for adults. Good video, nice shooting!

  • where do you get all these guns

  • It's fun shooting long range pistol. You ever tire your Rough Rider at this range?

  • That is very impressive. I think you just sold me on this as my first plinker.

  • Damn.......... I'm impressed.

  • Is it pretty reliable? I'm wondering if it is worth it to get the 6 7/8" barrel fluted vs the 5 1/2" standard?

  • That's cool. I have a mk II that I bought the same day I turned 21. I still have it, and its as much fun now as it was then. The only thing I don't like about Ruger is they always have some proprietary trick for field stripping, like the damn lever and plastic hammer for the MKII, rotating the trigger assembly down and out on the mini 14, or moving the ejector arm forward and down on the P97DC 45.

  • jeez thats a lot of travel time

  • nice shooting !! I pick my Mark III up tonight , can't wait to try it out i hope i'm as good of a shot as you nice vid !

  • Hey, great shooting haha. Buying that same gun in a week or two, where did you get those grips?

  • Nice shooting. Though I must say, it doesnt look like 200 yards, looks more like 100.

  • Great video Brandon!!!! nice gun too...

  • Nice shooting but I just can't get into .22 handguns.

  • Nice gun. nice range and nice shooting.

  • All right now. You just made me go break out my old Mark II. The only problem is I can't see 200 yds. Great shooting, keep up the killer video's.

  • great job man love it delay is too funny very good shooter u are

  • Hey brother, great shooting , I just got a new ruger 22/45 with a heavy 5 inch barrel and was thinking about trying some distance shooting. I was wondering where you were holding your sights on that gong, at 12 o clock or dead center or a little high?

  • @brotherskeepers111 hey buddy, @ 200 i have to hold abt 12-18 inches high. with Federal Bulk. the easiest way for me is to put the front sight on the target and lower the rear sight down to were its abt half way up on the front one. good luck ill be looking forward to the vid.

  • @Brandon401401 Hey man thanks for the info, I will try it, that makes good sense, I appreciate it

  • Is there anything you cannot hit ?

    100% impressive !

  • @TriggaHappi1526 oh yeah i miss alot lol. thanks for watching

  • @Brandon401401 can you give tips to a begginer shooter I try to line up the sights but never seem to hit anything. It is fustrating. I was wondering if the rugers are good for practicing for other hand guns?

  • @runhorun

How are you squeezing the trigger?

  • @THEweskiller I am pulling back..... am I suppozed to squeeze or pull?

  • @runhorun

It helps to squeeze the trigger because if you pull the bullet tends to go to the right.

  • Great shooting. I linked your video to great gun site and people really enjoyed it. Just a quick question: What kind of .22 ammo are you using?

  • @Kosgey69 thanks alot man, im shooting Federal Bulk.

  • @Brandon401401 Lol, surprising huh?

  • I gotta say, that's a damn good shot for a 5 inch barrel 22 pistol

  • @412309 thanks man, its def not easy

  • great taste in firearms! love the ruger mark III

  • @elw619 thanks buddy

  • Very interesting. I took my concealed carry with a Ruger 22 hunter model. I carry it on canoe trips, and I carry it for plinking. The first time I had to clean it was a nightmare getting it back together. A You Tube video showed how to get it back together and it was at least three times more useful than the one from Ruger itself. I felt like an idiot until I found out folks were bringing them back in a paper sack in pieces to shops! Now its easy once you see how to do it.

  • No my friend, YOU have a goodun.

  • @tronclay lol thanks buddy

  • nice ruger man did it come with those grips

  • @elphoenix1 thanks man, yeah it come with them

  • Nice, I may have to pick one of those beauties up.

  • @SirJabsAlot cant beat em

  • Nice Gun range!!! Look forward to more cool videos

  • @Itchintogodeerhuntin thanks a lot man. more coming soon

  • nice vid

  • Hitting anything at that range is great

How high above the target is your site picture?

  • @jmd8045 abt 12-14"

  • Nice shootin' there! Impressive! I wish I lived somewhere with all that land to shoot on... Not much land like that in the City of Philadelphia! +1 subscriber here!!!!

  • Tearing that 200 yards up aint ya bro??? Good shooting like always keep the vids coming

  • Man your videos are impressive, you ain't related to old Hickok 45 are you?

  • @brotherskeepers111 thanks a lot man, lol i dont think so, however he's just the next state over so its possible lol. i appreciate ya watching.

  • I love my Ruger 22/45. Excellent shooting. Just found your channel from Pete's shout out.

  • @nitesights i used to have a slab side 22/45. i appreciate ya stopping by

  • Awesome shooting, especially since you're using a 22 handgun. My hat goes off to ya!

  • @OutdoorsmanByDesign thanks man, i appreciate ya watching

  • nice you really hear how slow a 22 is on the long range shots I believe it that it drops a foot you must not drink coffee before shootin

  • @sdbentleysdad takes it a while to get down there. have to have a steady hand to hit it. i appreciate ya watching

  • Awesome! I have been thinking about getting a Mark III. Any recommendations on the version?

  • @thenetwerx i like the heavy barrel mark III but there all great, you wont go wrong with either of them. thanks for watching

  • i have the stainless version. i love mine. you have to love rugers trigger assembly also. great shots. have a good thanksgiving btw.

  • @GlocknLoad1 they have a relly good trigger right out of the box. thanks man

  • brandon please do this with your g19!!!!!

  • @ibanezkid07 will do my friend

  • high noon! lol it drops abt 14-16"

  • Damn good shooting. What sort of hold over did you have to use?

  • @kiwitedferny high noon! lol it drops abt 14-16"

  • Wow, I honestly didn't think it had in it.

  • That's a nice working pistol; great shooting, thumbs up!

  • Those .22's take a while to hit that target at 200 yards. But they're hittin' it, dang! Nice shooting!

  • @DemonHide that little delay makes it that much more awesome. thanks alot for watching

  • 200 yds ?? i don belive !! lol !! great shoting and vid as well !! thumb up and fav of my way mate !!

  • @hatsan38 lol thanks for watching my friend, its much appreciated

  • Ok, I made up my mind... when I picked up the 10/22 I had them order a Mark III Target with a bull barrel. Can't wait.

  • @RugerMan73 lol lol i just now replyed to ur last comment, hadnt got to this one yet. im 100% sure you will be satisfied with it.

  • You may need to change your handle to "YoungHickok45".

  • @huguenot67 lol, ill take that as a compliment. thanks for watching my friend.

  • Nice Shooting. I just picked up my Ruger 22/45 Hunter yesterday. Glad to see it has some long range capabilites!!!

    Thanks for posting.

  • @MongoWongo777 i used to have that same gun with a fluted barrel. thanks for watching

  • @Brandon401401 I got the fluted barrel too! Stainless. Can't wait to fire it.

  • I love the sound of lead on steel! Great shooting! Thanks for posting!

  • @lostburro its always a pleasant sound to my ears lol thanks for watching man

  • Nice shootin. Picking up a new Ruger 10/22 this afternoon... was thinking about a decent plinking pistol too though. Haven't been able to decide between the Mk III Standard or the 22/45 with the bull barrel. Got a preference? I don't have trigger time on either. Some on a Mark II from awhile back, but been too wrapped up in large calibers lately.

  • @RugerMan73 thanks man, i have had both. they are both great pistols, the safety, slide release, and mag release seem to be a little bit smoother on the metal frame compared to the plastic 22/45 frame. i would go with which ever one fits your hand the best. i kinda lean toward the metal frame. however you wont go wrong either way.

  • i am getting 1 of them . i like the gun i am going the 6 inch 1 .... you have fun and keep it up

  • @difflock77 they are great pistols, thank alot for watching

  • nice job

  • @koioo2 thanks

  • @Brandon401401 welcome and a good morning alberto gorin
