When I first heard this, it was on an oldies channel on internet radio as background while I was working. It had the power to filter through and make me stop and listen carefully.

I've loved it ever since. Clearly means a lot to a lot of people.

@mainewrite , I lost my beautiful boy too. He got type 2 diabetes at 25, and was gone by 29, just wouldn't, couldn't accept the reality of his disease and only took insulin in emergencies. he left a big ragged hole in my soul. i remember his absolute joy in everything, always a smile, no matter how grim things mght really be. He and this incredible pain are with me forever.

@ekwhiteca Thank You.He wasn't even obese, he was underweight, they said it was some kind of autoimmune process that targeted his pancreas and killed it; just like that. Diabetes is such a maliciousand horrible disease, i try to warn all the young people i know; so many think they are 'pre-diabetic'. Well so was jimmy. until the day he woke up and he wasn't 'pre' anymore. He passed five years ago this week. I've beendoing a lot of grieving this week, lucinda helps a lot, sometimes.

It was my understanding that she had been in recovery from substance abuse. I could be wrong, but that was what I thought. Or maybe she's fallen off the wagon again, I don't know. She's so talented, but such a user.
