  • He is so funny - it hurts LOL.

  • When Christ went into the desert, it was because he could no longer contain his laughter over our lives.

  • 4:54

  • What a joke! Seriously, what a joke!

  • I think God would have a sense of humor...after all laughter is the best medicine. I think as long as a good message is sent and people's lives are touched the way it is delivered doesn't matter. If laughing and smiles are also involved it makes the experience of coming together to learn that much more effective.

  • @marshall470

Sad that you feel that way. I suspect that after an episode like that, the people in that audience heard every word the man said the rest of the evening. He probably started out the service that way and they heard everything he said all night for that matter!

  • @twp3 So what you are trying to tell me is that you have to first entertain folks before you can get them interested in the "turth". I would hope that if people go to the house of God they go seeking the truth and do not have a desire to have their "ears tickled". I doubt quite seriously that Edwards, Whitfield, Wesley and many others I could mention would stoop to such tactics. Ask yourself who saw the results. We are certainly not seeing them today.

  • @marshall470 I'm not "trying to tell you" anything. I do believe that any supreme being must have a sense of humor, though, since he did create humans.,

  • We have been following Dennis for several years and know most of his stories by heart. When he gets serious, and starts preaching, he is really great at that to. We always look forward to being able to see him again. Anybody that wants to see him, should go to his website and check his schedule. He goes coast to coast and border to border. Keep it up Brother!

  • OMG....Dennis Swanberg was the Senior Pastor at the 1st Baptist church in West Monroe, Louisiana...where my family attended. He is a wonderful Pastor and obviously loves to make people laugh.

  • We are all Gods creation, the light of god shines indiscrimately. This guy is funny and laughter is one of God's nondenominational blessings

  • i was kinda sad this morning but he sure made me laugh!

  • @kuhlmand11 I meant Christians as in "followers of Christ". If they do believe (and I don't know whether they do or not) that there is any other way to heaven other than through Jesus Christ, then they are wrong about that and need to seek the truth found in the Bible so they won't be led astray. Jesus is coming soon and time is of the essence. They need to call on Him today before it is too late.

  • @simonandga You're welcome to your opinion, as long as it consists of some factual evidence. There is NO factual/historical evidence whatsoever that anyone named "Jesus Christ" ever existed in the first place. The Bible was written entirely by men. Really primitive ones, in fact.

  • @billwesleman I'm entitled to my opinion whether it contains factual evidence or not. Good men and women died for my right to say what I want whether anybody, you included, likes it or not. I know that Jesus lives because He lives within my heart. He has changed me and that is proof of His existence. I'm covered in the blood He shed on the cross and therefore will not be judged at the great white throne judgement. Praise His holy name! And when I die I won't bust hell wide open like some!

  • @simonandga Didn't say I liked nor disliked your opinion. I merely meant to state that your opinion/delusion has no basis in fact, in fact.

  • @billwesleman~attorneys, muslims and even investigative journalists have tried to disprove the gospel, but all came to the same conclusion that the Bible is true, Jesus is who He said He is and that He's the only way to heaven and salvation. If I'm wrong, I'll just live a good life led by Jesus' teaching, but if you're wrong, it'll cost you an eternity apart from God. If you'll call upon him (& mean it) He will answer you and show you great and mighty things which you know not. Jeremiah 33:3

  • @simonandga Appreciate your concern/condescension, but I'm living proof that one can be a good person and do good things in their life without having to lean on a dusty old book of fairy tales. Good luck with that afterlife thing though. My strongest sense is that we all wind up in relatively the same place once we're dead. Bill 11:16

  • @billwesleman~you can be a good person and do good things in your life, but it will have no power. There is power in the Bible. It is the inspired word of God. Jesus took the keys to death, hell and the grave when He arose from the dead. He's not in a tomb somewhere. When He returns at the battle of armegeddon He will show awesome power and defeat evil with words only. The escape from the wrath coming on the earth is through the rapture. I don't want to be here during the tribulation.

  • OH MY!!! tears of 'funny' runnin' down my face!

  • This guy is a hoot. Maybe if I had experienced a minister like him I wouldn't be so turned off of most formalized religions. One gets very tired of hearing that we're all miserable sinners and going to hell every week. I think hell is what we deal with every day!

  • @blueagate one needs to understand that we are sinners.. we do NOT deal with hell everyday, i can tell you that much! and it doesnt depend on works, but FAITH, so idk what church you were going to but it seems like they were making it out to be something about works. when God is the ONLY one that can get you to heaven.... Romans 9 tells you all about God and his sovereignty. He choses US, we DONT chose him. we are to sinful to chose anything good.

  • @simonandga why do you think catholics are christians?? when they firmly believe that there is more then one way to heaven. and THE BIBLE states numerous times that JESUS CHRIST is the ONLY way to heaven! the catholic religion is leading WAY to many people down the path of destruction

  • This can't be a Babtist church. Everyone's clapping, laughing and they let some guy talk about a man's zipper. LOL

  • @jimhiker I've been to this church. It is, indeed, Baptist. :)

  • Another reason I love being Catholic. Too weird!

  • Glad I'm Catholic.
