Drumming should be part of the song like this is... Not soloing 10-year old idiot kid whom can't even understand what is playing drums :P These guys do what real drummer should... Enjoy,Play and help whole band. It isn't cool to solo all the time in all songs... Song is the cool thing and drummer should go like the song want's to... Whole band should go... Some solos are fine, but not all time... Remember that kids...
@Tunttala I know a few drummers who play and still have that mentality that all songs should be like famous drum solos by famous artists. They don't understand the role of drums or how to chill. Especially with drums because they're so loud they can be too much if you're not thinking of how the song sounds as a whole.
@Tunttala it's all about what the music needs. It's probably harder to give the music a good, consistent, simple feel, than it is to throw dozens of fills over it. well said man.
@Tunttala A good song has to have a good solo, a guitar solo, it feels like something is missing if a great song doesn't have a great solo. Remember that kids XD
@Tunttala we do that cause its cool or else its just an unoticeable part of the song that only 1% of ppl that knows music would pay attention (like and i know its right) but to have cool drum lines well i cant wrong with what ur saying its wrong to do, simply because then everything would sound relatively the same.
I very much doubt a beginner could play this to that kind of standard like what he is playing. If you haven't been playing much those fills would be quite difficult and even some of those beats.
Also, its not just the level of difficulty, but the ideas behind creating that drum line and how well it fits with the music.
