  • b/c of this movie this is y i want to be a firefighter

  • Everytime I see this I cry. It's so sad

  • you can't describe the movie, just gotta watch it to know,

  • im a firefighter and this movie always reminds me that this could happen to any one of us and it does scare me a little but i continue to do it because i know people deeply appreciate our services and i love helping others because if we werent here wat would happen ?

  • My boyfriend is a firefighter and i worry if one night he wont come home. I respect what they do and they deserve some respect, they go into burning buildings not knowing what to expect because no fire is the same, and no building is the same. They do what they do because they love it first off and because they have a caring heart and just want ot help everyone out. Next time you see a firefighter tell them that you appreciate all they do for us. I know i do. :)

  • I don't care what your opinions are but mine is that we take things to lightly and focus on things that have no meaning and no purpose and its people who risk their lives for the sake of others that are the greatest among all humans. Don't compare different forms of saving lives, they all are amazing. Get that into your heads and stop fighting about whose's better. Because in a line of duty it doesn't matter what you do as long as you do it well.

  • Okay, lets not get into an argument about that. All that matters is that you're saving the lives of humans. Military, Police, Fire Fighters, no matter who they are they deserve the respect that everyone can offer all right. Day after day they risk their lives for the lives of other people. Silly arguments over a website aren't going to change anything. Instead of arguing like little kids take some time to think about those who truly deserve honor and respect.

  • this movie sucked ass

  • @kyleguyhighspeed

Your fucking sick to say that shit, i hope you die in a burning building.

  • @NovaEntertainment96 Really? You got pissed because I said that? You call me sick, but to say I hope you die in a burning building is just fucked up. I don't care what you say really. I'm just pointing out how stupid you are. I truthfully I do think it's an alright movie. I just wanted to see if that would piss someone off and it has. lol Wishing death on your fellow man is kind of low though. Also understand that this is the internet and be prepared for criticism that you won't like.

  • Ok, to all the people saying God bless our fire fighters, think about all the people that help the world everyday. Let's not forget the police and most importantly our under appreciated service men and women fighting in battles so we may all sleep at night. They fight fires sometimes too, but also fight for the country. Fire fighters get more pay than most members of the military which is a little messed up. Fire fighters get a little too much some times.

  • @kyleguyhighspeed all firefigters do is help people not kill them

  • @weatherfreak123 you think?

  • @weatherfreak123 Well no shit, they're not soldiers. Soldiers kill to protect, it's not like they're murdering people you know.

  • @kyleguyhighspeed fuck you this movie is awesome. I am firefighter and you this movie suck ass why dont you see how it is to be firefighter its not easy.

  • @jsbulldog24 What does that have to do with the movie? I am allowed to have an opinion about a movie. I didn't say Firefighters suck ass. I think the smoke got to your head because what you're saying is just uncalled for. Keep your mask on buddy. Not easy? Well it's not all that hard really. I was a soldier in the Army and I bet you don't know how difficult that is. You fight fires I fought terrorists. Which can actually fight back?? Do some thinking before you post.

  • @kyleguyhighspeed I think you have no idea what your talking about. Fires fight back. Fires can't be stopped by a single bullet. Fire is an enemy that will never go away, its been here since time started and will always be here and it doesn't discriminate it plows through everything in its way with no agenda, you never know where or when it will strike. Nature is unpredictable. Humans have pattern. Why don't you think before you open your mouth.

  • God bless all firefighters! Especially my dear F.D.N.Y. firefighters!

  • Alright, I get it. Firefighters do go in when everyone runs out. But I think that police officers need a little bit of credit as well. They are very brave people, they deal with criminals, dead bodies on the side of a road, telling people their children are dead, taking a bullet for someone they dont even know. So please, the next time you get pulled over think about what they may have seen, and tell them thank you for the service they do.

  • @CowgirlTuff47 many police officers are police officers because it is a position of power for them, not all but many. The nature of the job has potential to attract that sort of person, (not knocking police) however the life of a firefighter is based solely on service of others, with no power trips to get in the way. God bless our police, and God bless our firefighters

  • @CowgirlTuff47 I don not hate police but i have asked a police officer why he became one and he said "So I can get back at the world for what it did to me." so I do not appriciate what they do. the day i see a police officer without a gun, and go into a burning building or go up a 100 ladder then ill appriciate them. they arrest my fire cpt a year ago, for trying to save someones life by making a barcade with his fire truck.

  • @RusStudios928 I'm a volunteer firefighter and my buddies often say that police officers are police officers becuase they are too afraid to be a firefighter.

  • gosh i cried so much

  • very good film respect to all firefighters

  • such a great movie the ending scene with the speech and song really stand out to me. God bless and protect the firefighters who risk their lives everyday for the safety of others.

  • yea firebird is right. i volunteer at a FD and there are strict rules and these guys broke A LOT of them. its a good movie though and there are some people who believe firemen aren't needed which upsets me cuse we all work hard

  • @oneeyeasian yea greed, i volunteer as well. Most FD dont follow the rules. They dont do it the safe way they do it the fastest way.

  • most of the things the firefighters do in this film arent accurate and huge fires like the one he died in arent that common. good film tho

  • God bless all firefighters

  • It is a film very cool and the story is very impressive, thank you my friend

  • One thing i noticed, they didn't use nomexes the entire movie :o!

  • thanks for the movie

  • This movie brought the most tears to my eyes than any other movie I've ever seen. God Bless our firefighters! Thank you, all of you for being as brave, as courageous, as daring as you are for protecting those of us who don't have that kind of courage and risking your lives for our safety. I am ever so grateful! <3 God Bless

  • im a junior firefighter in PA and we have mixed support. some people will give us $20 donations and others will say "hey show up to my house next time i call"

  • so he really does die

  • damn, that is so sad.

  • this movie is so sad. everytime i watch it i hope he makes it. I want to be a doctor and save people but i deeply respect what fire fighters do.

  • ill give my life for this job!

  • i am a firefighter myself, and i, for one know what it is like to lose one of your brothers, or sisters... it is harder than you think. my husband is also a firefighter,, and if i ever lost him i do not know what our kids and i would do, firefighting has been in our families for generations. my children want to be just like Mommy and Daddy, when asked what they want to be when they grow up, they proudly say, i want to fight fires like Mommy and Daddy, i want to save people.

  • @SouthernBelleTaye

Inspiring words, I'm a third generation up here in Washington State. I hope one day when I have kids I can say the same as you.

  • this movie always makes me cry because my dads a firefighter and to jus think wot it would be like to not have him come home!

  • good movie

  • Is This Actually A True Story?

  • Can't wait to be a firefighter! I start training in 4 months and It's nice to be reminded why I want to do this :-)

  • @skimboarder000 I wish you the best of luck.

  • I love the thrill and the feeling that you just saved someones life. I'm 15 and currently an Explorer firefighter. so good luck to all other fire fighters, stay safe.

    -Jerrod Durham Volunteer

  • I think the movie would've been good with a twist at the end like jack gets out or something but this version is good too.

  • But the sad ending is what made this movie epic.

  • Great movie! One of John Travoltas best.

  • im a guy and hell that made me wanna shed a tear, damn good movie, firefighters dont get enough respect as they should, god bless those men, this movie and that movie about the people onboard the flight that crashed in that field on 9-11 that was a damn good movie to, you knew they were gonna die but you kept thinkin *theyre gonna make it, theyre gonna make it,* 5/5 stars for this movie

  • Omg, That was such a good movie, I was so sad ans supprised at the end though! It's so sad!

  • I love this movie. my absolute favorite. Sometimes I wonder what my wife would think if I was risking my life like that,,,,,

well, either way, I love the job, I love helping people, and Im sure my wife would approve.

    thanks for posting the video.

    Jared from engine 317

  • Sheez, that was ONE stupid comment. I meant to say the sound NOR the video are running this time.

  • The sound and the audio won't work for me on this part this time. It's always been a bit slow catching up but, usually it would.

  • RIp all firefighters

  • no sound ?

  • this is sad:-(

  • this is a great movie .

    very sad though.

im in training to be a volunteer firefighter

  • This movie always brings me to tears. One of my favorite movies. Praying my own firefighter always comes home. God bless our firefighters.

  • God bless all frefighters.

  • Thanks buddy i appreciate it

  • You know? I really never understood what firefighter actually did; because I always thought that they weren't better than my Marines, but you know? They do make a difference in people's lives; glad that they are doing something to help out society. This movie truly defines what firefighter actually do and the sacerfices that they make to help create a better world. God bless them and their families.

  • @dluong123456 "helping out society" wasn't the best phrase. they save people in society and make it a better place.

  • VERY good movie. Reminds me of the days long ago when I was a volunteer firefighter. It's very accurate.

  • i like the song...hate that he died :(

  • To the memory of David Balfour.

  • My house had a fire and i was sleeeping and i remember the fire fighter taking me out of my house and i was crying and i didnt know where anyone was and i had no idea what was going on and i couldnt see and i only smelled smoke and it was the scariest thing i ever been thru :/

  • i don't like films with this king of ending :(((((

there was a way !!! there was !!

  • @khakshaiha77 they should of came from the floor twelve and then got a rope down to hhim and pulled him up

  • God Bless our firefighters!

  • this movie made me so appreciative of firefighters and what they do for this world

  • This is the best fire fighting movie i've ever seen

  • watch backdraft with Kurt Russel

  • Why don't they take a hose in with them and put the fire out on the way to rescuing people!!!

Oh well thanks for the upload, great movie other than a few procedural issues

  • @SimeAUS there was deffinately a way to get him the movie producers just wanted to kill him

  • @slaystrom17 How Do you know that are you a firefighter yourself? i know a couple of situations where a firefighter died.

  • @bramkuchler how do i know what?

  • @SimeAUS cause there isn't enough hose to get the 12th floor, unless theres a stand-by pipe, which is what firefighters usualy plug into with a high-rise pack. But when it comes to getting Jack, even if they did have a high-rise pack and there was a stand-by pipe working, the debris and random sharp objects would either cut the hose, or there would be too many obsticals to get the hose through. But yes i agree, there are alot of procedural issues. But, its a movie.

  • Thank you to all the brave that serve to protect and save us all. Your heroic preparations and actions are never forgotten. This country is built on your sweat, tears, and sacrifice, in all aspects.

  • Imagine all the lives that all the firefighters that died on 9/11/01 had saved throughout their life as a firefighter.

  • thnx for uploading....it really shows how me and my fellow fire fighters work...thank you

  • wat an amazing movie...

  • Y does it freeze like this for a long time???

  • this movie brings metotears evry time i watch it. but thank you for the upload it is a great movie
