@ClassicTVMan81 Disastrous? It was a night he planned of getting high,it comes with a price my friend, after you dance you must pay the fiddler and John danced every nite,it was a choice he gambled on and he lost the bet that nite. sad but it was his own doing.
haha hes awesome..his voice is so much fuller than jim b....as for Dan...hes not that great of a harmonica player..it would have been cool to see this song live.the audio kinda sucks
@DrFunk3113 ya Dan & John had their moment but that past. Bringing in these other R&B artists for cameo fronts is a good idea. Gives folks a wider pespective on what can be done with these songs. To bad more of the original 1950s musicians could nat have been brought in before they became to old.
No vocalist, not the best one, not even God himself can replace Jake&Elwood duo in this song. But not comparing this performance to original Blues Brothers version, this one sounds quite nice. :)
st harpman i guess u r a big fan of larry's.great adult male voice...with the blues brothers being iconographic and the heavy association with akroid and belushi being jake and elwood its hard to really hear" anyone else in front of that astounding band with an open mind. The band was amazing and larry was fine
Larry is, was, always will be one of the best vocalists and live performers anywhere. Anyone with ears in St Louis knows, the rest of the world had a chance to find out when Larry was in The Blues Brothers. In this century Larry made an absolutely amazing record called School For Fools. Johnnie Johnson and Levon Helm played piano and drums on it. He also sang on Johnnie Johnson's record, Johnnie Be Eighty. And Still Bad!. One of the great, melodious, nuanced, and emotional singers!

This song lost its luster after John Belushi died March 5, 1982. Its luster would have retained had he survived that disastrous March night.
