Farcry 2 9800gt

i get only 30(avg)fps without fraps and 20(avg) with fraps.

i am running this game on winXP(sp2) at 1280*768 resolution. no AA.

what could be the problem?

my config:

core2duo e7500 2.93ghz , 2GB Ram 800mhz , sparkle 9800gt 1gb gddr3 (550mhz\1350mhz\1000mhz effective)

did u overclock your 9800gt with the stock fan? did u just turn the fan speed to 100% for overclocking?

9800gt akimbo 1gb.

64x2 4200+ amd

2gb corsair ram

I should be able to run it right? The recommended says 5200+ but I see all these people playing this game on similar specs as mine.

yeah... my internet bandwidth really sucks in my area so i converted the video to a smaller size so i can upload it. But point of the video was to give you an idea of how the video card works in real resolution... so there you go..

is there much difference in the 512mb version?

the only difference IMO in memory on a gfx card is the resolution you play at. the main thing to look at are the clock speeds, for instance, a 512 mb 9800gt on a 1900 resolution would be fine, but a 1gig edition on 1900 would just be wasted money.

look at your monitor, and get the best for that size :)
