  • when is his next race??? Would love to see it!!!!

  • This is an iron horse like they used to make, and all heart, and a stone-cold racehorse. He's got my vote in the Vox Populi contest -- he's the best racing story of the year.

  • Congrats big guy! You are champ no matter what others think, you have achieved something great. All the best!!

  • when he goes against REAL racehorses and REAL races than I will say that he's good enough I still think Zenyatta is at the top of the list because she actually beat good horses, horses that we were in Breeder's Cup races not allowances.....If he runs against the like of Havre De Grace and other good horses than I'll shut up but for now he's nothing more than tomorrow's glue

  • @GSDK9IGOR he is REAL just as real as the big stakes horses. He is not of the same class as Zenyatta. Claiming horses are the backbone of the entire industry. He broke a record, thats well worth being recognized. Rapid Redux Isnt some back yard bred horse, he is a nice horse, he just is in a lower class of racing. Doesnt mean hes a piece of shit. hes not. So dont compare a horse of a lesser class to a big stakes horse. some horses just will never be stakes horses, and thats ok

  • @GSDK9IGOR and its not like allowences are easy to run...even though its a lower level, a starter allowence, doesnt mean its easy to win them....

  • Everyone needs to not bash Rapid Redux, seriously, he is a hero too, hes just not a big stakes horse... so what? He broke a record this is what its about , and about good old american racing, who care which horse is better? Rapid Redux deserved to be recognized for this! I love Zen and Cigar both, they are all very different horses STOP Dissing!

  • *allowence

  • I think if this horse ran in a higher stakes rase he wouldn't seem as impressive as he does because he is racing aginst flaming horses. He is definite no Goldakova or Zenyatta

  • @sdrosieposey of course he wouldnt he isnt ment to be a big time stakes horse. thats ok! doesnt mean he isnt a good racehorse! hes won 21 races!!! do you realize how hard that is to do?! with a horse like him of a lower class usually they dont win more then a few races in thier life time!

  • I disagree with some of the comments; its the people who don't appreciate what this horse is doing are the ones who need to be educated. Of course the wins are coming to starter allowance level, the horse was a $6,250 claim on Oct. 13, 2010 with only 3 wins in its career.. RR is run every two or three weeks, grinding out an existence like any other cheap claimer, the only difference is the horse won't lose. 18 races in this year so far, 20 in a year. Lets see how often you see this again.

  • I saw someone bashing this on another video comparing to Zenyatta. The horses Zenyatta were beating were not at the same class level as in this case although her streak is impressive doing from behind every time and to be a happy horse every start is near impossible. Rapid Redux's streak is harder as bottom horses rarely win more than 3 in a row. When you think of how many things that can go wrong it is truly amazing. People should enjoy this and be glad he is a positive story for our sport.

  • Cigar's streak is more impressive in that he had to travel across the States and even to Dubai to race! Zenyatta is a great horse but most of her races were in California! Peppers Pride race mostly in New Mexico and of course RR race on the east coast! All these horses are great but Cigar is the greatest of all of them!

  • I give Rapid Redux his due credit. Because winning 20 straight races at any level ain't easy. But let's not got it twisted, people. He ain't no Zenyatta. Nor is he a Cigar or Citation. Winning 19 straight as Zenyatta did, and 16 straight as Cigar and Citation did primarily at the G1-G2 level is ten fold more difficult to accomplish than winning 20 straight against low level allowance company. Which is exactly the level Rapid Redux stayed at the entire streak. JMO.

  • @GBeret83 You're obviously correct - and the fact is he raced against STR5,000 competition throughout his streak. He was scratched at Penn National about three months ago in a STR10,000 that came up tough, and the scratch was for obvious reasons.

What truly impresses me is that the current owner/trainer claimed this horse for $6,250 and went on to win 20. Now that's impressive!

  • @GBeret83 I agree! I love the horse but some people need to realize that hes no Zenyatta or Cigar, like you said winning 20 straight races on any level is hard but against lower level allowance company is a bit less difficult than winning 20 straight wins at a G1 or G2 race. But congrats to Rapid Redux on his 20 straight wins!

  • Brilliant.

  • BRAVO, RR!

  • Rapid Redux, 20 wins in a row. Honest, consistent, win machine, no matter what level he runs at.

  • Does anyone know if there was some official kind of recognition and celebration at Mountaineer?

  • HOTY! Consistency and quantity should count for something in a very bland year for the top horses in the game.

  • Good for him. But when you race only 4 or 5 other horses as he does on many occasions, you have to admit it isn't quite as impressive as Zenyatta who raced much tougher talent. Still, congrats too RR.

  • @fearlessbadass well obviously, who would even try to compare him with zenyatta

  • Love him.

  • Congrats
