Nice bike. I've turned an old Bridgestone MB-1 into a heavy-duty commuter with road bars, bar end shifters, fenders & racks and 1.25" tires. It's a tank but I don't mind the weight at all. I recently bought a Burley Travoy so I can haul ANYTHING now.
I'm tempted to try a moustache bar since I never really use the drop on the road bars.
I really like your bike! It's a very strong build, and with the Tubus steel rack, this bike can go anywhere and haul anything! I've never had mustache bars, so I can't comment on that other than I like the way they look. However, I do prefer bar end shifters to the needlessly complicated integrated brake/shifters. I also like the lighting system on your bike. What model of hub dynamo did you use on your front wheel? Great work!
really nice bike, well built too. I'm not a fan of the bars, they look uncomfortable to me, I'm used to the slight riiser type from mountain bikes, though the aero drop bars look like they'd work too. Curious though.. since you commute, do you use any mirrors? I've found they come in very very handy.
@experimental0000 I use a mirror on my glasses. I rode today without (by accident) and realized how much I really do use it. I am definitely in the camp who is pro-mirror! The handlebars actually provide a variety of hand positions which is nice for touring when I'm on the road for hours at a time.

Next time I'm in Michigan it probably will be on a bike tour. This summer is going to be the Natchez Trace and RAGBRAI which is a ride across Iowa.
