Where exactly do you get the notion that things are "cheaper" on the balck market? How does that make sense? Generally people pay a premium for convenience. This applies particularly well to things that would otherwise be illegal. Do you think that they are then sold at a discount? Why would i buy a gun for $500 and then sell it for $300?

The "gun show loop hole" is the right of an individual to sell with out a background check. You close that and I can no longer sell/give one of my guns to a friend or family member. Also, by closing the "loop hole" you are creating gun registration because all guns would require registration.

I myself would much rather have a reservist weapon (semi-auto carbine), than a handgun. A handgun only works at short ranges, doesn't do much damage, and is generally less reliable than a rifle.

Handguns should be restricted. Everyone can own a longarm, if they want a weapon. A shotgun would be ideal for short-range, if someone bitches about home protection.

How can you defend your home with a weapon that you can't aim, steady and use properly?
