  • I don't want to sound like a creep, but I could not help but notice that as Palmer got older he developed a more than passing similarity to Jerry Lewis! Jeez, I expected him to burst into "You'll Never Walk Alone" here and start crying while smoking at the same time. Palmer was a somewhat stiff white man and not a black soul/r & b singer and maybe somebody should have told him that. I feel sorry for Palmer's son, Jimmy, being stuck with his dad and his buddies here. The poor guy looks bored.

  • This song should of been a number one hit!

  • Robert and I were gay lovers in the nid 80's

  • Oh, Palmer smoked, I wondered what took him out - he died too young, but there's a reason - the shit's really bad for anyone, so glad my nephew finally quit - becoming a dad made the difference -

  • Drive was a raw and gritty album... I really enjoy listening to this... reminds me of his first 3 albums.

  • which instrument did his son play on this video?

  • Judged by his total output, Robert was the best Rock ever produced.

  • Thanks for the comment.

I knew him when I was at Island Records many years ago and was pleased to get the chance to do this. Philip Lowrey.. LK Productions

  • this video must remain online forever.

  • them cigs will kill ya !!!

  • ...it's Robert and Jim Palmer, Carl Carlton (guitar), Alan Darby (guitar)...sorry I forgot the Tuba player's name..

  • ...miss him so much!!!

  • Carl...ich mochte gerne....Ik durf het niet te vragen...I don't dare to ask..aber...wie spielt man dieses lied? What tuning? Are there any tabs ?

    Greeetz (I'm a huge Fan !!)

  • I was just thinking that it was a good thing that he came out with an album the year he passed away(don't take this the wrong way)because had he not, we may have never had these last promotional videos of him before his passing due to the fact that he wouldn't have had an album to promote. Now we will always have these last videos to remember him by.

  • This is true. I first met Robert on his Sneaking Sally promotional tour and subsequently worked for Island Records so saw him over the years. I am pleased to have been there.

  • OMG you actually met the man. Please tell me what he was like. He started me singing gave me style as a kid. Got so many girlfriends because of this man, so do tell

  • Hi, Thanks for the comment.

he was a very cool and good guy. I knew him during my time working for island Records and visited him in Nassau when he lived there.

It was a pleasure making this little film as it had been quite a few years since seeing him last.

    A great shame.

  • LKProductions,

Thank you for the video! It is bittersweet to

me because this is the song from the very last

album. I miss Robert soooo much. I wish he had lived for a long time

  • Thanks for posting this, I've been waiting for what seems like forever! He was a great man with a matchless talent and I miss him dearly. RIP, Robert, we love and miss you always!
