did u have to change the jetting to handle highway use? not sure about 500s but if i hold my rmx250 wide open for a long time (like on the road) it starts spitting bits of cylinder sleeve out the exhaust. it was a expencive mistake, but good excuse to throw in a rad valve and shave a cople thousands off the head while it was apart... heh heh heh. now she got way-mo snap

@smokey6859 up to 70 yes, but lots depends on the riders skill but cr500 vs cbr600 with the same rider on both bikes 500 will have a faster 0-60 time all day long

awesome bike. How do you like the Endurance speedometer? Was thinking about getting one for my old XR500 but I've heard mixed reviews

one negative thing is there's no light on the display,in the dark you can't see the riding speed

you can push a button than it light's up for a few seconds but that's all

but overall i like it very much

i had one. it might have been a different model but mine if you hooked the power wire up to a battery the light would stay on at all times if you wanted. otherwise it did like you said would just run for a few seconds off its own battery.

I got the bike (second hand) for 1.5 years now and the overall cost of bike to buy and to build its $10,000

@EliteSoldier32 big singles will always vibrate it wont be as bad when its being ridden my old 500 was ballanced so it would vibrate loads on tickover but very little at mid to high rev range
