@ToHoShinKi01 DOWII isn't like that. You have your force commander, and up to 3 squad leaders (tactical, devastator, assault, scout, dreadnought). You drop in, accomplish your mission, and get extracted.
Each squad leader usually commands a set of units like him, total of 3 or 4 in the squad (except the dreadnought, its just him). As the squad loses health, units start to die. When it loses all health, the leader is incapacitated, and must be revived.

To settle the WH > WC and SC debate. Gamesworkshop had a deal with blizzard to make a game about WHF and WH40k ie Warcraft and Starcraft. GW pulled out of the deal (big mistake), but blizzard changed just enough about the characters and made it's own fluff to avoid copy rights. Therefore the similarities.
@razav350 I will tell you this DOW2 is better then the other DOW's but, DOW2 requires some extra crap in your computer like a dual core yada yada (basically you need a good computer). Didnt work for me. The Original DOW's are still a load of fun tho.

Unless if the blood ravens were also at full unit composition.

havent played this game yet, but if its anything like dawn of war 1 this is gona own. number 1 was all about combat you harldly spent any time building bases which is fun if your more into the action.

@JohanOlsson armies is grapihicaly better than warcraft 3 and but gameplay and race styles where both ripped from warcraft & starcraft the game was released official or unofficial that i dont remember, but i do know that the game had problems in multiplayer section because players could only play lan and gamespy arcade for online and that RTS players dont usually play on gamespy, that was the games drawback, altough the game itself is quite awesome :)
I think that StarCraft 2 ripped of Dawn Of War 1, especially the look of the marines and those jumping guys with the jet-pack, totally a copy according to me but who cares as long as people like these games =)

Well I kind of got this game yesterday and played a little on "campaign" do you only play as the Blood Ravens on campaign while on the other mods you can play as anyone else? Like Chaos? Because when I saw the cover I was expecting to play the Chaos Legion, and I freaking love them.
Wow long loading time. Graphics are alright, but don't look "that" much better than the first Dawn of war. Looks like it runs a bit smoother even with the better graphics, of course i don't know what kind of pc you have, but whatever. I think i'd rather play the first one, but this one could be fun. I think ill go play SupCom now.

Not to mention with every Patch in WoW, Blizzard nerfs all the cool and difficult aspects of the game and makes hardcore raiding playable/achieveable by fucking morons. This is why shortly they are going to lose a very select elite group of players that have been with them from the beginning.

I have played both and expansions/sequels and I can say SupCom and Warhammer 40k offer different experiences as RTS's

Hey i'm big fan of thsi DoW series and i got onw big problem whit this game coz i wan't to paly this game maxed out and this fucker don't allow me to max this out i only can but graphics to low or i don't but them they are in low and when i try to higher the graphics it says your videocard memory is to low i think o have good videocard and pros but does ram make that error my specs:
HD 4850 1gb 256mb
and amd pros 2.41ghz and 1gb of ram plz tel me what to do.

im guessing the 1gb is rgards to the memory of ur graphics card and whats the 256mb next to it mean and maybe up grade your ram to 2gb or more and are ur amd dual core? and also have u checked on dawn of war creators website for help like patchs and updates for ur graphics card

how is this going to be better than starcraft 2. Blizzard redifines gaming with many products. Warcraft 2 being the first internet game and WoW being the 2nd or third greatest game of all time. Warhammer gets fucked. i still enjoy it but it does not stand against blizzard games

lemme give you a newsflash.. blizzard doesn't make revolutionary games. their games follow one pattern. the more you play, the better you get, the more addictive you get. wow isnt the greatest game of all time.. they just added "more" of the above elements to the time old rpg story.

Not to mention with every Patch in WoW, Blizzard nerfs all the cool and difficult aspects of the game and makes hardcore raiding playable/achieveable by fucking morons. This is why shortly they are going to lose a very select elite group of players that have been with them from the beginning.

@Andrew4TOD No, while that is a common problem if you get into top 50 world guilds you must be over 18 and highly competent. Having done that level for a short time before quitting, the problem changes to people being unable to accept mistakes or have fun playing the game.

i dunno what you guys think... but this is one of the better set ups ive seen, actually tactics, not jus massing and slaying, big guns and instant reinforcements! ironically. it wont run on my computer, so im sad i dont get to see more than the vids offer :(

but i was just wondering. Is it true that there is no skirmishes and you cant build any buildings. just a command center. I wish they didn't take out the buildings, because it won't have that rts fealing.
