Being a guy, calling myself a feminist when I was younger was so far off the scale that I found it fun. People didn't know how to respond. The 'you just hate men' response wan't really aplicable. Women and men are inherently equal -- they are both human. Yes, men are strong, but there are some pretty strong women out there as well. Yes, women can be very nurturing when providing care is absolutely necessary; I believe men can be as nurturing and caring as any woman, given the same situation.

Your pre-existing biases against feminists may have prevented you from understanding that this was one assignment, one class, one experience. People fail; it's part of life. There would be no success without failure. Assuming that women are completely inept and can only amount to failure is wrong. Yes, on the whole men are physically stronger than women. A woman would have to work a lot harder to match the strength of a man, but this is not to say that it is impossible.

I can't even describe to you the hateful comments, as well as hate mail and threats, I have received from people (mostly men) because I publicly say I am a feminist.
Marriage shouldn't be like the russian roulette, if you don't keep a woman happy 24/7 she will leave with your child and half of your house. And she most of the time does that beacause the feminist crap.
Women are trying to make men their underdogs and destroying family, no country can't survive without family values, that's why there's so much shit in america right now. But they think we are just going to sit and watch, men's rights movement is growing every day. They are fighting a losing war, but we are the ones who will laugh in the end.
"Family Values" is a nonsensical political phrase that serves as a vehicle for pushing one's religious views on others. The reason there's so much "shit in america right now" is a subtle blend of twisted national consciousness, poor education, and divisiveness of the sort that is most frequently caused by religion.
NO country will survive without family values in the long run. And even though you're an atheist, you should pick up the bible from time to time, it certaily doesn't teach you bad things.

Being a guy, calling myself a feminist when I was younger was so far off the scale that I found it fun. People didn't know how to respond. The 'you just hate men' response wan't really aplicable. Now I'm at university and all my friends, male and female, have no hesitation calling themselves feminists. So I never really had the 'coming out' difficulty. I still get upset about feminist steriotypes though, and its depressing how many lies are told about what important feminists have said

A 22 year old female doesnt really understand any struggle women had in the past. Women teach mainly because they are the primary care givers in the houshold, while men traditionally work for money and maintain the household property. Men and women are not equal either. Each has their strong points that should be emphasized. You seem angry that you arnt given all the benefits of both sexes not being happy with your own strengths. Women and men are inherently equal -- they are both human. Yes, men are strong, but there are some pretty strong women out there as well. Yes, women can be very nurturing when providing care is absolutely necessary; I believe men can be as nurturing and caring as any woman, given the same situation.

Perhaps you should listen more carefully. I assume this is what HanifXHier was saying. The assignment was to make generalizations based on a small group of individuals. I very clearly stated this. Your pre-existing biases against feminists may have prevented you from understanding that this was one assignment, one class, one experience. It's my story, not a statement about men and women, not a statement about society, noting tested, no real statistics. It was just a story -- an expository essay.

Gender roles weren't created by men or the "patriarchy" it's created by nature.
There are things that men are superior by nature (more than you think), and the same goes for women.

People fail; it's part of life. There would be no success without failure. Assuming that women are completely inept and can only amount to failure is wrong. Yes, on the whole men are physically stronger than women. A woman would have to work a lot harder to match the strength of a man, but this is not to say that it is impossible.

Watch any average family sitcom. Women are never shown at work, always at home. Men rarely are shown changing diapers or cleaning anything. Watch what the women and men eat. Women eat salads and very light meals. Men eat meat and dessert.

For the record, though I kinda don't see how it matters, I don't have a mullet OR weigh a lot. I'm still a feminist. There are genuine inequalities in society between the genders, with women generally getting the worst of it. I just don't understand why do we need feminism in the modern world. It has achieved it's purpose. The only ones who keep it alive is the ones who do it for the money, or saw their goals achieved and now find themselves with no purpose, so they keep it alive through false statistics and promoting misandry at the same time.

Atheists don't have a theory. "A" is a prefix that means not or without. "Theism" means belief in the existence of one God viewed as the creative source of the human race. Just because I don't believe in "God" doesn't mean I have a theory about the creation of the universe. If you're talking about evolution though, you may have wanted to mention that instead of "aeithiests."

Feminism is a movement, and it has people in it, and last time I checked people have brains and often have their own agendas.
That being said, how the hell can you protect it by reading it's the description from a dictionary, that doesn't mean anything.
I can call myself a Christian and hurt people at the same time, does that make me a "good" one ?
Feminism is good for women but up to a point, not all of it is that pink, try to think about that.

And I'd say you were a good Christian if you hurt people because the bible tells you to do so (but this is the thesis of another video of mine). There are countless violent verses in Christian's holy text, but this is really beside the point.

Well, Jesus is the son of God, and while on Earth he changed the flaws in the Bible that were made by the corupt and the mentality of that era.
Yes, some high-ranking priest changed it so it would be more to their liking. The only "violence" that Jesus promoted was the one which the man/woman is allowed to protect himself only if the other person threatens their family or themselves.
To God there is no such thing as a man or a woman, just your actions.
